Live Rhythm: Practicing Whims
http://liverhythm.blogspot.com/2013/12/practicing-whims.html
Meditations on intentional living and creative consumption. Sunday, December 1, 2013. After the hubbub of the holidays, I found myself a full day with no guests, no plans, and a refrigerator full of leftovers. So I decided to have an entire day to let whims take over – doing whatever task I felt like doing in the moment. Here are some of the whims I had:. 1 Tried and failed to fix the kitchen window. Some things aren't meant to be, like functioning double-hung windows from the 1910. 4 Wore red lipstick.

Thursday, October 31, 2013. I have been remiss at both posting and checking in on my favorite blogs. Work has been near unbearable the past two weeks and I am exhausted,. But the next three days belong just to me so I plan to catch up on my real life! For now it's a quick dinner then early to bed. Thursday, October 24, 2013. Ice on the windshield. All week I've been waking up early to go into work. This morning I was greeted by the first frost of the year. My treat from last year's trip to Rhinebeck).

Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Clothing tags provide provenance. But more importantly they aid in navigation. When getting dressed the starting point is always the tag,. Back of the neck, back of the waist. With hand made clothing the lack of a tag results in. A fumbling about, situate the arms now line up the shoulders…. Until I can decide on a font, color, size for my future oakworm tags. I have pulled scraps of fabric out of my stash. And stitched them onto the back neck line of my sweaters. Effortless fro...

Thursday, November 28, 2013. Happy Thanksgiving to all. There is so much to be grateful for…. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Cold, cold cold…the wind pushed at my back as I walked a new trail. Berries shivered and milkweed flew from my hand, the tip of my nose cold. As I braced myself for the walk back to the trail head. Saturday night the first snow squall swirled off the rooftops,. Melting on my up turned face…and then it was gone. All that was missing, a campfire and a dog. Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

Friday, May 31, 2013. Peaceful Spirit, Warrior Child. Picture of J on one of our trips to Colorado. Our Journeys are ever deeper charting the map of scars riven in our souls by time. Map these scars and embrace them. These are our teachers, the hard lessons this life has put our way. Just as the hurdler makes his jumps. We traverse the narrow ever winding paths and pitfalls which lead us to our personal salvation. Shedding layers as a snake sheds its skin. WARRI0RS IN THE HEART by Mark Loman). Dandelion ...
