Rants, Raves and other rambles. Thursday, July 17, 2008. Get out of my head. Recently I got to thinking about “What ifs”…why, I don’t know…I don’t dwell on them but sometimes I tend to think bad “What ifs”…I guess that wouldn’t make me a mom if I didn’t, right? Since Dan’s not working, what if I lost my job too? What if one of my kids gets seriously sick? What if one of my parents die, how will I help the other? What if my house was on fire and I could only save one other person? What if I became blind?

Rants, Raves and other rambles. Friday, August 1, 2008. Here is some new pics of Brittany and Jake. OCD-or whatever you want to call this blog? Kiss my days and weekends goodbye until November. Football starts on Monday! I think I’m a bit OCD about controlling stuff like this. This is a good thing and a bad thing…good because I am very organized, have control, get things done early…bad because I tend to have a “heart attack” about things that are not going smoothly. Okthat’s my ramble for the day. Septem...

Parenting with Whine *. Wednesday, September 3, 2008. What is that number, you ask? It's the number I found myself calling with trembling hands, a pounding heart and wet cheeks. That, my friends, is the number for Poison Control. He said, "Yes.yummy! I had to rush from the hospital to my EMT class and just arrived home a few minutes ago. He is sleeping, peacefully, with Daddy. A huge THANK YOU to Marissa for helping me out with the other kids. I appreciate it more than you know. Oh Becky. How scary!

Parenting with Whine *. Saturday, August 14, 2010. What started out a lifetime ago. Ends with a smile. Nineteen years ago, a young love began. A love that brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face. A love that was tested time after time yet still remained. A love that would bring two kids together as man and wife only to end as a broken family. Today, I remember what started out as a childhood love affair and think about how it has evolved and sadly, ended nineteen years later. Saddened, indeed....

Parenting with Whine *. Sunday, February 14, 2010. First comes Love.Second comes Marriage.Third comes. What a magical, inspirational, glorified word. Some say it too often without meaning while others say it too little. Some give it unconditionally and freely and others well, not so much. Truly, what IS love? And so I ask you, What is Love? Is it a word you throw around freely? Is it something you say out of habit? Are you mistaking "Love" for what is indeed LUST? Here are a few different views on LOVE.

Parenting with Whine *. Friday, October 3, 2008. The long drive home. On my way home tonight, I had some time to let my mind wander. As I drove, the rain pounding against my windshield, the songs on the radio began to speak to my heart. Each one played as if it were just for me. And while I couldn't recall the particular songs, the general thought was the same. These thoughts came to me. Over the years, as my journey progressed and life happened. My list started to change. Some things were eliminated...

I hope you all had an uneventful evening. And beware, Strep is going around. We were not the only ones in the ER with it! Confession...

* Parenting with Whine *: A watchful eye
http://parentingwithwhine.blogspot.com/2007/10/watchful-eye.html
Parenting with Whine *. Tuesday, October 2, 2007. I consider myself a fairly good parent. I don't feel that I'm too protective and I'm certainly not one to just let my children do whatever they feel like either. But there are some things that I have a hard time knowing where to draw the line at. You know, the line that could land me one the good side or on the bad side of parenting. (all depending on who is judging). And so I ask you, At what age should a parent allow their child that kind of freedom?
