Having a Ball Breaking the Chain: Falling to earth
http://havingaballbreakingthechain.blogspot.com/2006/09/falling-to-earth.html
Having a Ball Breaking the Chain. Sunday, September 17, 2006. I was blog surfing today, which is about as athletic as I get any more, and was reminded of a pastime I used to enjoy, at least most of the time. Karl of Secondhand Tryptophan. Went skydiving as a celebration of his birthday. Watching his video of the occasion reminded me of how I spent just about every Saturday and many Sundays for about a year and a half when I was in my early 20s. Posted by Sheryl @ 10:48 PM. No no no no no no no. As absolu...

Cake and Empire: Dalek Cake
http://cakeandempire.blogspot.com/2007/06/dalek-cake.html
Friday, June 22, 2007. All the weddings I attended as a child had two cakes. One, the bride’s cake, was white and covered in all manner of scrolls and scallops. The other, the groom’s cake, was a more whimsical and less serious number. It often featured a hobby or special interest of the groom, such as fishing or golfing. The groom’s cake was also invariably chocolate, another tradition. However, the bride’s cake is still the one that gets all the fuss made over it with the official cutting and feeding o...

Having a Ball Breaking the Chain: The Odd Couple
http://havingaballbreakingthechain.blogspot.com/2006/08/odd-couple.html
Having a Ball Breaking the Chain. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. As the project has progressed forward, the twosome has apparantly spent a bit too much time together. The tone has gone gradually from easy familiarity to polite distance. I knew there was trouble brewing when Felix told Oscar that he was on his own for dinner a few times, then started making solo plans for the weekends. Then, yesterday, there was the "advice.". Posted by Sheryl @ 9:18 PM. Reminds me of Dilbert. I just wish mine was permanent.

Having a Ball Breaking the Chain: A mysterious illness has befallen us
http://havingaballbreakingthechain.blogspot.com/2006/09/mysterious-illness-has-befallen-us.html
Having a Ball Breaking the Chain. Thursday, September 14, 2006. A mysterious illness has befallen us. I found out this week that even pseudo illnesses can be contagious. Ah, the power of negative thinking! The closer I got to work, the more I convinced myself that I deserved a day off. So, at some point on the drive, I took an offramp and started back north to home and my books and my music and my cats and lovely, lovely aloneness. A case of fake-itis? Posted by Sheryl @ 10:05 PM. Yeah what Kapgar said.

Words on Screen | Have You Seen My Camel?

Have You Seen My Camel? If I jump out of this tree will the world still be there? Am enjoying a monet of open hot-spot joy. I noticed there werw bars showing on my Airport and clicked and prayed! Oh yeah, internet at home for a second! So, the first episode of Ugly Betty was genius. I swear to god, burst into tears at the end. “He’s gone”. Loved it, loved it, loved it but you all know that – you all saw it, right? Ahhh, ne’ermind. Over and over again PIE PIE PIE PIE. In my head it got to the point wh...

In The Library | Have You Seen My Camel?
https://havucnmycaml.wordpress.com/2007/10/05/in-the-library
Have You Seen My Camel? If I jump out of this tree will the world still be there? Okay, so am trying this whole posting in the library thing. It’s quiet, there are people walking behind me and I can hear air conditioning so concentration is at about the same level as usual. I will fix the design issues next time I am online somewhere I can upload. Probably next weekend if I am still in my house… which is looking increasingly unlikely.
