Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Monday, May 18, 2015. In a paddock between Parkes and Condobolin in New South Wales, are the Utes in The Paddock that have been well documented on TV and I mentioned them and added photos to this blog a few years ago. But now we have Animals on Bikes which is a series of sculptures done by farmers, wives and school kids a few years ago to take farmers minds of the drought and to lift spirits. I loved them and I hope you enjoy them too. Stuart and Lesley HAWKE.

We had booked to have Christmas lunch at the Wrest Point Casino and it lived up to all expectations. The food was amazing and even more special because I didn't prepare it. There were prawns and oysters in a never ending supply and all the other Christmas fare with drinks coming as fast as we wanted them for 3 hours. At 230 we rolled into the first taxi and headed home for a rest. The 28th was our ...

I am going to approach this blog after this entry, more on a regular basis, just showing little bits more often, than a lot of everything. HAWKES HIDEAWAY
Sunrise at Dicky Beach Queensland April 2009. Sunday, January 15, 2017. The South Australian Peninsulas. After leaving the Murray behind we wanted to get a feel of South Australia without really delving too deeply into it as we were on a bit of time schedule to get across the Nullabor before the real hot weather hit. We followed the coast down around the Yorke Penninsula along some very pretty but wild windswept coastline. Got my first feed of SA oysters- so delicious. They breed the flies big in the west.
