Helping Others with Positive Energy. Vases- Start to Finish. Vases- Start to Finish. The first step in making the vases takes place in Ann’s studio. On a studio day, Linda created a vase using some leaves as texture. As she was creating the vase, the idea of HOPE vases evolved. When you get two artists playing in clay and enjoying the process, projects evolve! In Ann’s studio is where the vases are crafted and bisque-fired, ready for the Raku kiln. This Raku kiln is gas-fired and Dennis is the Raku Master.

It has been a long, hot and dry summer which limited how much we could Raku fire, but with the cooler weather and rain, we were able to finish two dozen vases! This last week we delivered to Mercy in the NICU and the Oncology Dept. At Cox we delivered to the NICU and PICU. Truly an awesome experience to deliver to these “new” departments. Faces lit up and many smiles when we arrived with vases in hand. These photos were taken at Mercy. In addition we have created some HOPE ornaments for sale at. Cricket in the House and Good Girl Art.
