This is a diary about my return to riding motorcycles. When I started this blog I bought a new SV1000S. Eleven months later I upgraded to a Triumph Speed Triple and in January 2009 traded that for a 2008 GenII Suzuki Hayabusa. All those bikes are light years ahead of my first bike, a Francis Barnett 200 that would only just hit 100kph and had brakes that faded out to nothing from a single full speed stop.

Sunday, October 26, 2014. HB Ulysses - Tikokino for Lunch Saturday. HB Ulysses notified an unscheduled ride to the Tikokino pub for lunch and to meet a Wairarapa Ulysses ride on their way to Taupo. Sunday, 8 July 2012. Eventful Ulysses Ride to Apiti. Another early Sunday ride and another frost with temperature around freezing. Got to meeting point in Waikanae just before 9am ready to go. Had expected a few people to be there but only Russell was there so at 9.05 we decided to head off. Met two other bikes at Kimberly road in Levin only to find Lex had a dead battery on his Honda VFR. Had already phoned local bike shop who came out with a new battery! Sun out and cold but warming up nice and quickly.

Thursday, 26 June 2014. Around the World without leaving New Zealand. Winter is in full swing here. Had a big storm last night but the forecast for today didn't look to bad. Both my bikes have been off the road for 3 months due to trip back to UK and US on the way home and lots of other stuff going on so desperately needed to get out and do some Km,s .
