Sunday, January 15, 2012. 40 for 40: week 2. Quietly chugging along. I love that my 40 for 40 list contains items that are not quick to be crossed off; it means I really will be at it all year. Here's where it stands:. Yoga classes taken: 1. Scrapbook pages uploaded: 21. Blueberry Coffee Cake Muffins - awesome. After the Ch...

Thursday, April 28, 2011. It's Not Easy Being Green (3) - Diapering Dilemma. This is quite possibly the biggest debate in the realm of green parenting: Cloth or Single-Use Diapers? And it's not easy. Are cloth diapers really that much greener, once you factor in all the washing and chemicals used to keep them clean? Do you really want to put enough plastic, sewage, and chemicals into the landfill to take you to the moon and back? They won't allow it to be embedded). No one today would dream. I love danci...

Saturday, April 21, 2012. Amy's Own Sock Club. So a girl can collect a lot of yarn. Especially a sock-knitting girl. It's really easy. Especially with socks. Because you only need one skein of yarn to make a pair of socks. And when you see that a beautiful, soft, squishy yarn is on sale in a color you don't have a pair of sock in yet, well . . . you get the picture. As such, I seem to have collected enough yarn to knit nine pairs of socks (and that's not counting the two pair - that's right, two pair.

Saturday, March 10, 2012. The Great Candy Making Adventure Begins. Jack has developed a peanut allergy. It's mild and causes no airway restriction. We're lucky. But apparently, the more exposure he gets, the worse it could become. So I'm being careful. A LOT careful. The plan then, is to make all of the following:. Gumdrops (& I have to admit, I'm excited about this one! Salted Caramel filled chocolate eggs. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Photos From The Parks.

I'm a knitting geek of the highest magnitude. But there was (& is) so much to learn. I actually met the author of the pattern, and she let me make a cameo appearance on her blog! http://amyharrison.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Wow, I haven't posted since September? I guess I have a baby around here! Inspired by ESPN's 30 for 30 series. I decided to make a 40 for 40 list: 40 things I want to accomplish in my fortieth year. Some are small, some not so small. Some will be easy, some will take time. But I believe this is a reasonable list for a girl like me. And I honestly can't wait to get started! I'd LOVE it.). So here it is, Amy's 40 for 40 list:. Get ready, 40; here I come!
