Well, i have a little new york schoolgirl :) makenzie started first grade this week. it's funny because she started on wednesday and then had thursday and friday off for rosh hashanah, so a very short first week. this next week will be a little more strange that she is in school all day everyday! In kindergarten she only went for 3 1/2 hours, so her being gone all day will be so weird! She was so excited to start and was bummed to not get to go back yet. :). Schools are quite different here!

I AM that funny. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Many of you know that I taken part in a mission trip to Costa Rica.well I've actually been on the trip three times! My church sends a team every December and I have been so blessed to be able to GO and serve on this trip three different times. Each of these trips have been incredible and life changing! With how much it rains here, working on our outdoor space hasn’t really been a priority. But finally, with the motivation of Eden’s birthday party, we decided it was time for a makeover! Someone at some point painted the patio. You can see remnants of what looks like red/pink paint. Lovely. Check out the little stalker in the doorway.

I AM that funny. Friday, September 25, 2009. The school counselor is teaching a set of lessons for the next two days in my class. She is talking about respecting differences, cooperation, and communication. The kids are doing an activity where they are building bridges out of toothpicks, raisins, and marshmallows. She keeps reminding them of how important it is for them to have a strong foundation or support system for their bridge. The ones who I trust to be my support system? These are tough questions.

I AM that funny. Sunday, August 8, 2010. I love blogging. Not just writing them, but also reading them…or as I like to call it “blog-stalking”. Haha I wish I blogged more. I am thinking about making it a goal to blog 5 days a week. but I am not sure I am ready to commit to that…. But I think I will make myself do it. I have NEVER in my life been told that.
