Born in Suffolk, I attended a Foundation course at Gt. Yarmouth where I was awarded the course prize and followed this with a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art at the Norwich School of Art. I continue to build up a body of paintings that fulfils along standing vision. My work is continually evolving within the theme. I love the process and the challenge of seeking new ways to express my ideas. I feel passionate about my art work. I spend hours by the water’s and cliff edge. Process to develop my ideas.

Wednesday, 25 June 2014. Open Studio as part of Open Gardens. At the weekend I opened my studio to the public as part of Long Thurlow Open Gardens and Studios weekend. The village was raising money for East Anglian Air Ambulance. The weather was kind making every ones hard work worthwhile. I had at least 40 visitors during the Saturday I was open. Saturday, 20 August 2011. Boats, off shore wind farm and more boats. The sun was so bright it bleached out the sea - it reminds me of a batik - inspired me to make the found boats. Container ship I like the block shapes. With the fishing boat is marked. If you enlarge next pic you can see the wind farm on the horizon. The large sailing boat stayed in the bay over two nights before setting sail. On our return from Dunwich I made these boats with found objects found on the beach. Tuesday, 2 August 2011.

Sunday, 28 April 2013. Found Series and Alfred Wallis. I am experimenting putting some of my current and past pieces into 50cm square recessed frames. I think this works well using card mount. These pieces are inspired by coastal imagery. A detail of the above piece showing layering. Another piece loosely based on cliff formation. A small sketch and notes. Sunday, 7 October 2012. In my last post I said about problems with my Minolta SLR they proved to be terminal as the parts cannot be sourced. As a result I have bought a Sony a65 so I can continue using my assortment of Minolta lens from the old camera. Moon rising about 6,15pm with boats on the horizon I seem to be obsessed by boats they have returned in some numbers along this piece of the coast they lay slumbering in the water swinging round with the tide waiting for oil prices to rise.
