I've looked it up several times but I'm either coming up with nothing or with too many definitions- from context it looks to mean something like garnished, adorned or decorated, which is most likely but honestly, I have no idea. Plates of dubious origin! Guess what they contain. It sometimes surprises me how many of these contain walking-arm-in-arm scenes.) I love the hair on white dress girl. It's ridiculous. Also, the bonnet on habit girl. This is my favourite fashion plate. (Of the ones that I own, as I've seen nicer that I don't own.) It's adorable.
