Sad Sack Kawasaki | Glory Road Garage
https://gloryroadgarage.wordpress.com/2016/07/10/sad-sack-kawasaki
Motorcycles, Garage Lit, Good Times. July 10, 2016. This is a tale of woe–of a woman and her bike that will not go. My sister bought a new Ninja 650R in 2012 from CycleNorth. She babied this bike: paying for regular services, constantly cleaning it (even the chain). Unfortunately, the engine blew while driving at about 60 kph on a hill in 2014. I was stunned to hear about the failure: a new bike with a doting owner? As you can see, she drove this bike a lot (7000k per year is decent). Cycleworld's 1...

Drywalling | Glory Road Garage
https://gloryroadgarage.wordpress.com/2016/06/05/1304
Motorcycles, Garage Lit, Good Times. June 5, 2016. In GRG Mark II. Drywalling was a grind, but we made quick progress after the first day, which was not very productive. Once the learning curve was complete, we knocked out a bunch of work. The drywall lift that I purchased helped immeasurably. Drywalling above the mezzanine was a pain because I had to move the materials stored up there yet again. The shop looked so much brighter with drywall acting as a reflective surface. Motorcycles, Garage Lit, Good Times. Mezzanine–A Forgotten Post. May 30, 2016. In GRG Mark II. The surface was finished with 1/2″ plywood, and I did bother to paint it. It has wiring underneath for lighting in case a work bench is placed there in the future. The mezzanine has been extremely useful in keeping the shop floor from becoming cluttered with storage materials. Insulation in the Cold →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Finishing Work | Glory Road Garage
https://gloryroadgarage.wordpress.com/2016/06/07/finishing-work
Motorcycles, Garage Lit, Good Times. June 7, 2016. In GRG Mark II. My wife pushed me to do the finishing work on the shop, and I am glad that she did. It made a huge difference in how I perceive the space with the rough edges completed. I purchased some 1×8″ clear pine from Home Depot and painted it white to make sills. I used some scraps of plywood to set the height and level them and brad nailed them into place. Note how bright it is. Playing with Google Sketchup →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
