http://eliseinjamaica.blogspot.com/2008/11/sound-bite-from-jamaica.html
Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Friday, November 14, 2008. A sound bite from Jamaica. He was saying that people have negative things to say about jamaican men but there are some good jamaican men in jamaica, especially those on the bus (apparantly he was aplauded earlier) he went to say it doesnt take a lot of men- alluding to the olypmpians to make the country proud rather just nice people as those on the bus. Jamaican Adventure: August 2008
http://eliseinjamaica.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Saturday, August 30, 2008. I want to move. Well, Gustav came.and went. We are all a little soggy for it. The power was on and off for a few days and apparently the tap water will not be drinkable for another week. But all in all we came through pretty well. As nice as Mrs. Ridgard's guesthouse is, I want to actually unpack. There is not much to do though, except wait.and wait. Thursday, August 28, 2008.

Jamaican Adventure: November 2008
http://eliseinjamaica.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Friday, November 14, 2008. A sound bite from Jamaica. Thursday, November 13, 2008. माय रंदोम इन्तेराक्टिओंस अक माय सोशल लाइफ इन जमैका. It is true that my random interactions are sort of wierd, but I actually find that these are some of the things that I like most about Jamaica. So I thought I would write about them. I won't do it all at once, but this is a sample:. We talk sometimes about the weather;...

Jamaican Adventure: No adventures lately!
http://eliseinjamaica.blogspot.com/2008/11/no-adventures-lately.html
Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Tuesday, November 11, 2008. 1) Family and Friends (this is a given). 2) Coffee Shops – to go read in when I am bored, to meet people in, to hang out in with friends. 3) Cool weather. It is November and I am still sweating through my clothes. 4) Going out at night – for a run, a walk, a trip to the store, or just about anything. That is all for now it is good to write it down…. Keep your chin up! I'm s...

Jamaican Adventure: Re-jointing oneself? My arm and other stuff
http://eliseinjamaica.blogspot.com/2009/01/re-jointing-oneself-my-arm-and-other.html
Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Monday, January 19, 2009. My arm and other stuff. Continuing on from my last post, I was saying that I feel a little out of it being back here. Realizing that I have a limited amount of time here makes it hard to buckle down to work and since the pace of work here is quite slow I find that I have a large amount of down time in which to dwell and anticipate the future. No, I think not. So I came back, ...

Essentially I am rambling about nothing for the most part. But I generally think that it is interesting! Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Today is a good day. Even though I stayed up late and was going on 4 hours of sleep. But watching Obama's speech was worth it. Something happened last night that was good for the world. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. The elusive cell phone – I got a SIM CARD. So I got a SIM card at a fair price after much drama. MUCH DRAMA. I cannot get into it here in much detail, but needless to say it is a funny story that you must ask me about when I get home. Ahhh…good times. So my new cell phone number is (if you are calling from Canada or the US) SEE BELOW. The number at our house (land line) is 011 251 11 6633322. Call me if you can. It would be lovely to chat! Prasanna in Ethiopia: Farenji New Year and Early Birthday Celebration
http://prasanna-in-ethiopia.blogspot.com/2009/01/farenji-new-year-and-early-birthday.html
Thursday, January 8, 2009. Farenji New Year and Early Birthday Celebration. January 1 is not New Years in Ethiopia. Ethiopians celebrate New Years on September 11 and it is currently 2001 according to the Ethiopian calendar and not 2009. Therefore, on Farenji (foreigner) New Years Eve (December 31), I went out for lunch with my friend Jordan to this great restaurant called Nochla which has traditional Lebanese food including the most delicious flatbread – it is out of this world! You are the best! It has...
