Are you really reading another book? Sunday, December 15, 2013. The Wild Country, or "Little Britches". Ralph Moody wrote this book and it has been published under two different titles, "The Wild Country" and "Little Britches". Excellently done and I highly recommend the whole series. Are you really reading another book? Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Out of My Mind. I have finished the most amazing book! I checked it out from our local library after seeing it on the shelf at the school library while volunteering. They cover caught my eye. The librarian there told me what a great book it is, and I've looked forward to reading it. She was right, it is wonderful. I think all teachers should have to read this book. It is such a touching story and very eye opening to me. Out of My Mind.

LittleBigGrrl Reads!: July 2008
http://littlebiggrrlreads.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
I read. I think. I tell you all about it. Saturday, July 19, 2008. Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich. Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich. There aren’t many things better in this world than a good book; unless, it’s a series of good books. I am a big fan of series. I love the sense of familiarity one gets with the characters, the storylines, and the author’s style. In addition to the male love interests who keep her flummoxed, Stephanie has collected a troop of interesting sidekicks. The most pro...

LittleBigGrrl Reads!: The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama
http://littlebiggrrlreads.blogspot.com/2008/06/audacity-of-hope-by-barack-obama.html
I read. I think. I tell you all about it. Wednesday, June 11, 2008. The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama. Or the actual title: The Audacity of Hope- Reclaiming the American Dream by Barack Obama. I bought this book the same time I bought the cake book and I'M STILL READING IT! I had to take a break because it was a little heavy for the end of the school year. So I read some Sue Grafton and Harry Potter to ease my mental faculties. And I'll plunge right back in this week. July 2, 2008 at 7:40 AM.

Are you really reading another book?: August 2013
http://princessbride42book.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Are you really reading another book? Friday, August 16, 2013. By Vivian Vande Velde. From the back: What was with that bizarre fairy tale Rumpelstiltskin? Why would a miller claim that his daughter could spin straw into gold? Why would the king believe him? And why would an odd little man that can spin straw into gold do so in exchange for a tiny gold ring? For this reason I recommend it for ten and up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Are you really reading another book?: March 2014
http://princessbride42book.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Are you really reading another book? Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Are you looking for a kid's book full of adventure, the longing for a mother, music, and a setting you've never read about before? I've just read this excellent book by Katherine Rundell. Unfortunately this is the only one she's published so far, but I will be waiting with bated breath for the next one. I found the book to be written in a fun, lively style with great vocabulary. It was hard to put down. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Are you really reading another book? Monday, January 06, 2014. I have finished a book by new author Elizabeth Byler Younts called Promise to Return. My blog friend Linda from Mocha with Linda. Told me about this book. It arrived a few weeks ago and with the holidays I've read it off and on. I picked it up and finished it this weekend. It is an excellent book! Should she wait for Henry to return, or should she look for love with another of the Amish boys who is showing interest in her?

Are you really reading another book?: October 2013
http://princessbride42book.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Are you really reading another book? Thursday, October 24, 2013. Entwined is a rewrite of the Twelve Dancing Princesses fairy tale. I have to say this is the most plausibly explained version of the fairy tale I have read. Some fairy tale premises don't seem to make sense. Why are these princesses dancing? This author really thought a lot about it and made an excellent back story. I really enjoyed reading it. It is definitely good for ages 13 and up due to some mature material.
