Aid can be better. Let's talk about HOW. Sorry but it’s not YOUR project. Psst, excuse me, but actually it’s not. Program. And if you think that it is, we may have a problem on our hands. Many would argue that who owns what in development is a key aspect, if not. Aspect, to a project’s or program’s success. And so a person’s choice word choice when describing their work or do-gooder endeavor can actually reveal quite a lot. But let me ask you something Do. Live in Country X or District Y or Village Z?

Friday, April 25, 2008. Happy World Malaria Day! Well of course I have to blog about such an ocassion! Every year one million people die of Malaria. 90% of those deaths occur in Africa. The purpose of World Malaria Day is to educate those countries not affected by Malaria and mobalize them in the cause to erradicate this preventable disease. Friday, April 18, 2008. So I have officially been a Peace Corps Volunteer for one full week now! See picture from swearing in ceremony at ambassadors house above). I am working in Lukuli, which is a district of Kampala at Hope Clinic. http:/ www.hcluganda.org/. I will be helping them with their community outreach and internal organization (i.e, rewritting their strategic plan, working on employee performance standards, etc.). I think they are lovely but I get made fun of relentlessly from the locals.
