Sep 13, 2014. Sometimes it takes Mom awhile to get me my milk, so I have decided to take matters into my own hands. . . literally. However, this whole "feeding yourself" bit is a lot more difficult than it looks. I tried to drink my milk for a few minutes but my aim was off, and I kept poking myself in my chin or nose. Posted by The Burks. Sep 11, 2014. A big grin stole across his face and he replied, "To Park City. Happy Valentine's Day! To which Nate responded, and I kid you not, "Um. A nice one...

Nov 21, 2013. Making the Nice List. For starters, Bryn and Liam have been helping with the after dinner dishes. Usually, a fight will ensue over who gets to stand on the little stool and who gets to use what sponge, but tonight, they embodied the true Christmas spirit and were willing to put aside their differences in a joint effort to get the dishes done. After all, fighting children are definitely not on the "nice list.". Posted by The Burks. Once Hudson was able to put his miserable respiratory virus ...

Mamoom's Moments: When You Least Expect It
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2009/09/when-you-least-expect-it.html
Sunday, September 20, 2009. When You Least Expect It. If it was a need, we would get it. If it was a want, we didn't. Last Christmas there was very little under the tree compared to previous years. We could not justify spending money we might need to live on later. For Mother's Day this year, Christie gave me Hilary Weeks CD, If I Only Had Today. Let me share with you part of the lyrics. The song is called, "When You Least Expect It.". I've quit counting the hours I've prayed for answers,. Subscribe to: ...

Mamoom's Moments: What Makes You Beautiful
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2012/07/what-makes-you-beautiful.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. What Makes You Beautiful. In just over a week, I'm heading off to Young Women camp. I went three years as a young women and this will be my 12th (and possible final year) as an adult. Young Women camp is a wonderful experience! Testimonies are developed and strengthened, friendships are deepened, and you can't help feel the love of our Heavenly Father as you enjoy the beautiful world He has created for us. If only we received more messages like this in our life. Two hundred and fi...

East Coast 2013 New York. I loved NYC with my parents. We had so much fun. That busy city is a unique place and I heart it! We happened to be there during the hottest days of the year. I love in the desert but man oh man that heat with the humidity just about did me in. Not sure how the new yorkers do it, especially waiting for the subway! We decided to go to the "top of the rock" instead of the empire state building and it was great! They are the best parents, eva! I love you, central park.

Mamoom's Moments: First Jobs
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2012/06/first-jobs.html
Wednesday, June 20, 2012. When I was 18 years old, Tom, a man in my ward told me about a job opening at the supermarket he worked at. He was a school teacher by day and supplemented his income by working as a cashier at night. I don't know how he did it. Loralee, the bakery department has an opening. Go and apply.". A few days later, Tom asked me how it went. I told him that there wasn't an opening. Oh, there's an opening. Go again. Tell the manager I sent you.". Emily is now 18 years old and she's had h...

Mamoom's Moments: New!
http://mamoomsmoments.blogspot.com/2011/01/new.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. Ron and I attended a convert baptism Saturday afternoon for a 17 year old young man. His mother had been baptized three months earlier in the Central Valley. He attended her baptism and was so touched, that when he returned to the Bay Area where he lives with his father, he asked to meet with the missionaries. What happened next surprised all of us. Robert spontaneously got up and shared HIS testimony. Smiling broadly he said something like this:. I feel so good! I am sure I was...

Kondel Family: January 2013

January 1, 2013. Eliska and Mrs. Anderson. Emma and Mrs. Patton. Wow, what an experience my first festival of trees was! My Girl Scout troop decided to donate a tree for the festival of trees this year. The trees are auctioned off and all proceeds go to Primary Children's Hospital. They usually raise about 1 million dollars! My co-leader had done 2 trees previously for the festival in earlier years and was definitly the person to make it all happen! It was all very exciting and a great experience overall!
