http://theymadeannegetablog.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-return-of-anne.html
Saturday, 23 August 2014. The Return of the Anne. After a two year hiatus, I have decided to re-start my old teenage blog. Are you reading this? So do you, like, drink a lot of tea? Over and over again. Now I have new things to blog about. A lot has happened since March 2012. I am a real grown-up, even though I'm currently reading the most recent Percy Jackson book and I still can't drive. View my complete profile. The Return of the Anne. The everyday wanderings of my mind. Flying pianos, of all things.

The blog of an LSE undergrad: Simon Rickenbach. Thursday, 28 April 2011. So here it is! My long awaited, eagerly anticipated and quiet possibly ill fated blog! The first edition will be an action packed double header of farce (you lucky devils! Firstly I’m going to talk about freedom of expression on the internet, by which I mean reviewing a certain blog. Later in the week I'll move onto another farce, the NFL (American football) lockout explained in simple language even women can understand. Nowhere is ...

Anne's Blog: December 2011
http://theymadeannegetablog.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 23 December 2011. Normally I love people, but not on the 23rd December (except for Laura, because it's her birthday). Today is the day that we have some relatives over for lunch, who arrive, freshly botoxed, from the South of France*. Then from midday until four they sit and play a really fun Christmas game with the grandparents, called 'Who Can Make The Most Controversial Statement,' or 'Controversy Bingo'. Some gems so far include:. 3 Boys are better at singing than girls. Also, this is not the...

Anne's Blog: Sad Dog Films
http://theymadeannegetablog.blogspot.com/2014/09/sad-dog-films.html
Saturday, 20 September 2014. So at Christmas I saw Marley and Me. Which is supposedly a really sad film. I saw it with a grown man (and former dog owner) who cried. I also watched it in the company of the most pitiful dog I had ever met, who was blind in both eyes, had strange growths behind his ears, and whined whenever he wasn't lying down. The main thing I got out of Marley and Me. Recently I watched My Dog Skip,. I cried when Simba's dad died though. And Nemo's mum. Not Bambi's mum, though...I am ...

Counterpoint: Grounds for Divorce
http://simon-counterpoint.blogspot.com/2011/10/grounds-for-divorce.html
The blog of an LSE undergrad: Simon Rickenbach. Thursday, 27 October 2011. Quick update on my life. Bus stops and a woman with a pram and a kid gets on, she's struggling with her stuff and she drops something, which I pick up for her. Thank you." She says. No Problem" I reply. Where's daddy when you need him? Story of my life! I say in a jokey manner, and chuckle, Impressed as I am with my witty retort. After a few seconds it becomes clear I've made a horrible misjudgment about my audience.

http://simon-counterpoint.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
The blog of an LSE undergrad: Simon Rickenbach. Wednesday, 8 February 2012. Just read a Blog by my good friend Richard. And his usually impeccably perceptive sporting analysis was this week horribly flawed. here is my paragraph by paragraph response to his article. No apologise necessary mate. Most watched, giving it a claim certainly to being one of the most watched shows on earth. Only one country enters but that does not mean the sport is only open to one country, it is called the world championship b...

Anne's Blog: Two Born Every Episode
http://theymadeannegetablog.blogspot.com/2012/02/two-born-every-episode.html
Friday, 24 February 2012. Two Born Every Episode. So at the recommendation of my friends who study Biomedicine and enjoy a good cry, I decided to check out the Channel 4 fly-on-the-wall documentary 'One Born Every Minute,' which is part horror film, part soap opera and part sitcom. In fact, I can't quite believe it's not a sitcom, sort of like 'The Thick of It' but with a maternity ward. The Ring of Fire? This isn't that bit in 'Finding Nemo' where Nemo has to swim through the volcano in the fish tank.
