Thursday, June 18, 2015. Jessica, Quin and my mom visit May 2015. It's been a month since Jessica and Quin flew home. It was so fun to have them (and my mom) visit us in May. I was hoping to teach Quin (16 months at the time) some words,. But instead he learned some animal sounds - kack for duck and mao for cat and ta-da! Quin loved our animals but it was a little one-sided. He got hen pecked and cat scratched, but still followed them around. Love playing board games with company! With Jason and Curtis.

head above water: November 2012

Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Visit from the Folks. After their Nauvoo temple mission ended, my parents came to visit- delayed one day due to Hurricane Sandy. We spent a lovely day at the Boston temple and nearby Lexington and Concord (above Old North Bridge). On Saturday the whole family went to the coast and an aquarium at Rye, NH. We went to a science museum in Manchester. Dad liked the lego replica of the historic millyard. A walk in the nearby conservation area (complete with ticks).

Monday, April 8, 2013. Snow melts into Spring. After being sick most of February and depressed each time it snowed in March, I'm happy to see the sun out and the snow finally melt! Here are a few highlights/photo of the change in season for us here in NH. We decided to become beekeepers. We've been taking a class from the local beekeeping association and Jonathan has been busy building two hives. The bees will be delivered the beginning of May. Jonathan built a workbench in the basement for this project.

Tuesday, October 15, 2013. The road less traveled (Fall in New England). Our latest venture in hobby farming- raising 16 cornish hens for meat. These cute baby chicks quickly outgrew the bins in our closet and Trevor and Jonathan had to quickly partition the chicken yard and build them a coop (with heat lamp). They are growing so fast and will be big enough to butcher at 8 weeks! The next day Jonathan joined us. We visited the Robert Frost farm in nearby Londonderry. He lived there with his young...After...

http://headabovewater-sheryl.blogspot.com/2015/02/trip-to-france.html

Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Valentine's Day 2015 in Grenoble, France. Jonathan planned a trip to France. He was already going to be in Germany on a business trip and paid a little extra to fly to France for four days to visit Nathan and Valerie. He asked me to join him there. I was surprised and thrilled to be invited. We left Curtis and Trevor at home with instructions, schedules and phone lists. Corridors between the apartment/shop buildings from 1400's. The longest corridor is 4 blocks long! The bas...

Ken's World: July 2014

Wanderer in a strange land . . . Saturday, July 5, 2014. Free Dinosaur, to a Good Home. We love this little guy, but our city does not allow male dinosaurs, and he has started making the most god-awful racket in the mornings. Nothing worse than the call of an adolescent male dinosaur to wake you from your peaceful slumber. If you can give this guy a good home, let us know. We will deliver a reasonable distance. Olsen Refuge: Central Point weekend

http://olsenrefuge.blogspot.com/2011/05/central-point-weekend.html

Close-up views of Neil and Pam's sometimes wild family in their native habitat. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Esther was in charge of the annual LDS youth formal dance. Pam and I got to go as chaperones. Earlier in the day, while trying in vain to outsprint her back to the house, Gideon and the strolled went into the rose bush. Esther gave a great talk in church that I wanted to share:. That brings up another great question. How are we supposed to know when the spirit is talking to us? Eldon and Janeil Olsen.

Where the Wendts Went. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Saturday, August 30, 2014. Time for a MAKE-OVER! We've lived in this house for 9 years now. I was getting tired of staring at the same walls day after day. I needed some PEP! And instead of moving to a new house. I updated my kitchen! Well, not me, I paid someone to do it because I wanted it to actually look good. Here are the BEFORE pictures:. Eh Blah. Whatever. Same old stuff. And when I get tired of looking at these.

Where the Wendts Went. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Friday, November 30, 2012. An update of the fam. We got a piano! Some people in the ward were moving and left their piano so we got it for free. The tuning was NOT free, but necessary. So was the cleaning. The previous owners had painted it a light tan color but we wanted something with a little more pizazz! Here's Dan and Beckam. Tatum likes holding him too. Not so happy anymore. Don't they look cute? Carly is actually t...

Where the Wendts Went. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Saturday, September 7, 2013. Mom's Summer Report Card. The rhythm of life continues. I always have mixed feelings about school starting back up. I'm sad because I will miss the kids, I HATE helping with homework {with Nolan it is very involved! Our days are split up with drop-offs, pick-ups, and I don't like navigating the car maze after school. Two kids are there from 8:45 to 3:30! I only have to care for 2 kids! I was i...

http://olsenrefuge.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Close-up views of Neil and Pam's sometimes wild family in their native habitat. Friday, July 23, 2010. I really like fruit. I love food in general, especially good, wholesome food but fruit has a special place in my heart. Summer is a beautiful season because then I get to dive into watermelons, eat blueberries by the handful and have fingers perpetually stained purple from blackberries. It's a beautiful thing. So guess what I found when I got home from work the other day:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Where the Wendts Went. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Friday, March 14, 2014. I haven't posted for a while so I will do a quick update! I didn't do Christmas cards in 2013. Sorry! Too busy. I posted this on Facebook instead:. This was Carly on her 5th birthday. I made that cake with whipp[ed cream frosting. It was so delicious. This is Tatum at school during their Christmas program. She sat right in front and did a great job! Doesn't she look beautiful? It snowed a bunch:.

Where the Wendts Went. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass. Saturday, September 8, 2012. Welcome Beckam Daniel Wendt! We are absolutely thrilled to have another little guy in our house. That evens up the score for GIRLS vs BOYS in our house. No room for you! Women here should be squatting in the woods to give birth, right? Am the one who needs the hospital! Pressure points, bouncing, swinging. etc. Thursday afternoon at 2:00, they call me. There's an open room! 8 lbs 14 oz. Some o...

Keep your head above music financially. I love to fly! Bull;July 24, 2009 • Leave a Comment. Flights: Here are a few sites I use before I’m about to fly. Especially when I have a few days to book and I have a one off that is half way between coasts. Each site has a huge data base with competitive prices. Head Above the Crowd. Lord, use. Your servants as You used the ox in the Old Testament, for service or for sacrifice.". I need a new blog name. I guess since I'm not in Kenya anymore, I need a new blog name. What about 'Out of Canada'? Brilliant, I know. I thought of it myself. No, I didn't miss the snow! Check out a few photos that I posted taken by a friend. We went on Monday, February4th to two refugee camps with a hospital group that some fellow SIMers work at. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

After Valentine's day, I'm deleting this blog, and will be posting exclusively over there. So, follow me or something, so you can keep up with the news, yeah? Posted by Virginia Ruth. Head Above the Waves | entries from a child of God struggling to have a child of her own

Head Above the Waves. Entries from a child of God struggling to have a child of her own. August 10, 2015. August 10, 2015. I have delayed writing this entry. Every time I sit down to add another word, something comes up. Particularly, a knot in stomach and a lump in my throat. After two-hundred or so entries, and many highs and lows, I’ve decided to postpone all of my writing indefinitely. For everything there is a season,. A time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.
