BLOGGITYBLOO: Brushes with greatness...
http://bloggitybloo.blogspot.com/2011/03/brushes-with-greatness.html
We attended a memorial service this last weekend for a man whom we'd met at Christmas brunches and the occasional Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's over the last 6 years or so. He died last November at the age of 86 but for various reasons the family had put off the service until now. I learned vastly more from the memorial service, including some probably more important details about his interactions with others and his remarkable nature, but the story of his life was fairly mind blowing. Very interesti...

The Bear Cave: Giddy Up - Video #2
http://t-clogscornicopia.blogspot.com/2010/08/giddy-up-video-2.html
An account of observations and happenings from the cave. Saturday, August 28, 2010. Giddy Up - Video #2. Wisconsin Dells has a lot to offer. If you are scared away by commercialism or tourist traps then stay away. We like campy and tourist things, so we found it to be a hoot. I mean, for us, we went there knowing that it is that way. We didn't go looking for solitude or natural beauty. You have to go to places like this with the right mindset. They have a website, www.canyoncreekridingstable.com. But whe...

BLOGGITYBLOO: HP and the HBP
http://bloggitybloo.blogspot.com/2009/07/hp-and-hbp.html
HP and the HBP. Other than to say it is worth your while, especially to experience on the big screen, I have only a couple of nits to pick, and then a return to the meta narrative that has framed these conversations from the beginning. Spoilers ahead. Third nit: burning down The Burrow? I understand that the whole wedding plot in #7 could be difficult to make sense of, and could possibly be left out, but good grief, burning down the Weasley home really seems to have been unnecessary. Just saw it tonite.

BLOGGITYBLOO: In which I experience three different kinds of natural disasters in one week
http://bloggitybloo.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-which-i-experience-three-different.html
In which I experience three different kinds of natural disasters in one week. Worth noting first off that unlike the people whose lives have been turned upside down by these events, my experiences were more tangential, while still very real. Event #1 - hey, was that some kind of shaking going on? Magnitude 5.9 earthquake hits Virginia, and at some point shortly thereafter I turn to my coworker and ask, "are we having an earthquake? Event #2 - that seems like one big campfire, oh wait, that's a wildfire.

BLOGGITYBLOO: Irish are Elves?
http://bloggitybloo.blogspot.com/2011/04/irish-are-elves.html
Using the expiring streaming queue to guide some of what I watch on Netflix had me watching Michael Collins. Recently. He was one of the leaders of the Irish rebellion after WWI that lead to a deal between the Irish and English that created the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland. Always a good time to smack down the Elrond, "men are weak" comment. "Yeah? Fuck you elf.". Your feud with the elves is almost as long standing as the dwarves. No problem with elves per se, just ones that talk out of their ass.

BLOGGITYBLOO: Great stuff...
http://bloggitybloo.blogspot.com/2009/08/great-stuff.html
This would be easier if Mighty Clog were on Facebook. Kind of a flip on the regular nature videos from a distant human POV. With a camera strapped to their backs? Is there an image of that? Interesting videos. How do they get their cameras back? Maybe they fall off and have a beakon on them? Why would this be easier on facebook? If Ican get a boggus e-mail account and make a boggus facebook account I would sign up. I want to be invisible on facebook. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Blog of His Own.

BLOGGITYBLOO: Who Knows

Not sure if the new look (inspired by wandering into Stephen's blog) will cause me to write more, but maybe. Well, this is a start of sorts.
