P3 – Dunipace. Science Week: Mummifying Fruit. Tuesday, May 20th, 2014.8:58 am. Mummifying Fruit – The Results! After a whole week we were finally able to check the results. Of our science experiment. We had to look closely at the fruit in cup 1 then empty the salt and baking soda out of cup 2 and look closely at the fruit inside. We also had to weigh both pieces of fruit again. We then compared the results. What did we discover? Did the salt and baking soda mixture help to preserve the fruit?
