LivingLongLife: Human Digestive Tract and Transit Time
http://livinglonglife.blogspot.com/2012/04/human-digestive-tract-and-transit-time.html
Human Digestive Tract and Transit Time. Maybe a strange topic, but green stools is an indication of abnormally short transit time as bile starts out green, then turns darker and darker as it transits the intestinal tract; hence, if stools are green that means it hasn't been through all the processes and may be an indication of malabsorbtion or other serious problems. Here is an interesting chart. Labels: Human Digestive Tract and Transit Time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Posts - Alphabetic Order.

LivingLongLife: Sugar isn't what it used to be.
http://livinglonglife.blogspot.com/2012/02/sugar-isnt-what-it-used-to-be.html
Sugar isn't what it used to be. As a general principle - Look At Labels! If the ingredient list has sugar (in any form) as the 1st item, or 2nd 5th 8th etc., PUT IT BACK! Look at the nutritional information, if sugar is 30% or more (you have to do a little mental math - look at the grams of sugar vs the grams/serving). If you aren't intentionally buying sugar, then PUT IT BACK! If it says 'lite' or 'Low Fat' check out how much sugar it has - sugar is converted into fat by the liver! How about sugar beets?
