Cookies and Milk: January 2013
http://cookiesandmilkfamily.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 24, 2013. The best thing about Thanksgiving? Gathering together at Granny and Papaw's house with all of our loved ones . . . I cherish this strong tradition more and more every year. At only 2 1/2 weeks, this was Hudson's first trip to Booneville and first Thanksgiving. I was of course very excited to show him off to everyone. Always a smilin'. . . I sure love this man :). Although a few found fun in other outlets . . . Just isn't Thanksgiving without Papaw's delicious ham. 8232;

Cookies and Milk: November 2013

Tuesday, November 19, 2013. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. January 15, 2013, Papaw suffered complications following a hernia surgery which resulted in problems with his kidneys, heart, and lungs. And after he was airlifted to Fort Smith. His family filled the waiting room. With hope, prayers, support, and love. For one of the most precious men we've known. Fun and laughter (and dozens of Paul Hicks' stories).

Cookies and Milk: December 2012

Sunday, December 30, 2012. Happy Birth - Day Baby Hudson. November 6, 2012. I left my last check-up, on the 1st, a little anxious considering I'd been told that not only was he measuring big at 8'5 already, but I hadn't dilated, meaning that they wouldn't induce me because I hadn't progressed any. So it was looking like my dreams of a 'tiny baby' arriving a couple weeks early, just wasn't going to happen. As the pitocin kicked in, so did the pain - and quickly. Last time I was begging for an epidural...

Saturday, November 24, 2012. A Name and Nursery for our Littlest Man. So once we heard "It's A Boy" I was pretty much set on Hudson. Andrew liked it and after just a little discussion, it was settled. :) So much more fun than waiting until after he's born like we did with Hunter! However, the middle name has been a different story. We tossed around every name that we could think of and nothing just stuck. Cole, Colt, Jack, Cash, Ryder, Wright, Cade, Sawyer, and James. Jackson, Harrison, Ryder. The paint ...

Cookies and Milk: August 2012
http://cookiesandmilkfamily.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. The advantage of being eighty years old is that one has many people to love. Rick and Lesia once again hosted a fabulous Hicks' Family get-together where we celebrated several special occasions, but the most notable was our sweet Papaw's 80th Birthday. Their new cabin/home has been the best new addition to our family - Such a wonderful and beautiful, and relaxing place to gather. And it was a perfect evening for some summer "front porch sittin.". And ate until our bellies ached.

Cookies and Milk: June 2013

Saturday, June 29, 2013. 13 Strong - Williams' Christmas 2012. I saw an opportunity to spend a couple extra days with my in-laws so me, Hunter, Hudson, Peyton, and Emma rode back to Russellville with them. It was a nice treat to be able to enjoy some one on one with these guys before the rest of the family joined us that weekend. It's crazy that we had to go to Russellville to enjoy any snow this year! Some days are just about impossible to get a smile out of him when trying to take a picture, LOL. Oh ho...

Sunday, July 22, 2012. A Weekend With the Girls. After an ENTIRE YEAR of missing these girls - Mary, Ashlea and Casey, three of my closest friends from hygiene school, came to stay and visit for an entire weekend. YEA. We actually had such a great time and were so busy catching up that I kept forgetting to take any pictures . . . which is SOOOO unlike me . . . And staying up late watching chick-flicks (all luxuries I seldom enjoy), I was reminded of why I miss these ladies so terribly much. After filling...

Cookies and Milk: Mommy's March Madness
http://cookiesandmilkfamily.blogspot.com/2014/06/mommys-march-madness.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2014. My little boy seems to be growing at an exponentially fast pace. I mean, who is this BOY. And when did he get so grown up looking? Hunter LOVES his 1st pair of athletic shorts that I found at Rhea Lana's. (I held off as long as I could; and for good reason - he now wants to wear them everyday) He was so happy to look like Daddy. He said, "They're my FAVORITE! Thanks mom for getting these shorts for me.". Yep He knows how to get me. ;). Limiting them to special days and church.

Cookies and Milk: February 2014
http://cookiesandmilkfamily.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 17, 2014. Fun in February 2013. Though mostly cold, February brought us a couple pleasant days to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Chalk on the trampoline may be one of our new favorite activities. We even managed a nature hike around Lake Fayetteville - this has become A MUCH REQUSTED pastime for Hunter and Andrew, which is sweet and fun and gives me a little rest or alone time with baby Hudson. For our Valentine's craft we used finger paints and a heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Tuesday, July 2, 2013. 2013 - Oh the possibilities :). This year it was all about having a good time - we dressed up, got a limo, enjoyed dinner with friends - the whole shabang! Ohhh who am I kidding, with a 4 year old and 7 week old, our New Years Eve consisted of, you guessed it - Staying Home! BahhhHahaha But for this homebody, there is really no other place I'd rather be. :). Honestly, I'd do just about anything to have this. And with the millions at Time's Square :). The rest of the day was spent h...
