I find that enduring/overcoming life's challenges make us strong and strengthens friendships. I DON'T love you because we met at EFY or we went to BYU together or even because you are/were Mormon. I just love you for you. Do you still love me even though I dont play guitar anymore? I freaking love this and agree with every word. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My New Published Book!

KIGATSUKU: I Am My Sister's Keeper
http://kyleeshields.blogspot.com/2013/09/i-am-my-sisters-keeper.html
Friday, September 13, 2013. I Am My Sister's Keeper. I honestly don't know what to call myself. I don't think I can actually call myself a Mormon Feminist because there are so many things that Mormon Feminists are passionate about and want to change that I don't feel the same drive towards. However, I am extremely passionate about people being heard and the opportunity for people to voice their opinions and concerns. I guess you could say I'm a Mormon Feminist sympathizer. I understand having a differenc...

KIGATSUKU: What I Do
http://kyleeshields.blogspot.com/p/what-i-do.html
I am currently a Shadow (Therapist) at the most amazing Wilderness Therapy Program called Anasazi. Anasazi has two age groups they work with: One group is called the YoungWalkers (12-17) and the other group is called Sinagua Walkers (18 ). Anasazi is a 42 day (6 wks or more) program out in the wilderness deserts of Arizona. Anasazi has a language that is not common to everyone, but I love it so I may throw into my blogs now and again, so I thought I would put some of the words here to clarify:. Dave and ...

KIGATSUKU: June 2013
http://kyleeshields.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 27, 2013. Hope For A Better Day. Ever since I grew up in Oregon I have recycled. It makes sense to me so I do it. I also don't litter and I often hug trees. However, I don't consider myself "green" or any kind of environmentalist. I am a woman and I think I should get paid equally for doing the same job as a man. I LOVE being able to vote and all the things I can now do as a woman that women could not do in the past. However, I don't necessarily consider myself a feminist. Okay—so re...

Monday, May 27, 2013. Why I like Wedding Announcements. I should probably start this post with this:. This arrived the other day in the mail from my sister, Kaitlin (10 yrs younger than me), and I was so excited and happy to receive it! I had never been asked to be a bridesmaid like this (and I have been a bridesmaid a gazillion times) before. Every time one of my younger. I'm writing this post b/c so many of my single female friends HATE wedding announcements, baby announcements, save the dates, etc....

Saturday, October 12, 2013. Every once in a while you come across something remarkable—something that JUST MAKES SENSE. Today, for me, that is the Red Fred Project.
