Monday, June 27, 2011. Liberty the ebb and flow. Lots of playing this week! Sorry I disappeared again! Well, now I'm back to fill you in on all of the horse stuff I've been doing over the last few days. Here are some brief posts from each day that I played or went down to the barn. No hurry no worry. The little things that matter. Games, and more filming! Kayla is coming over with the horses on Wednesday too so maybe we can do the challenge again! Tuesday, June 21, 2011. A Journey of Many Seasons: Update!
http://journeyofmanyseasons.blogspot.com/2012/06/update.html
Sunday, June 3, 2012. This is definitely a much needed update, I haven't written for so long! Well, I have been doing a lot of things with Gingy actually although at this point I'm not quite sure what I should do next. Since I've been doing all this playing with him it seems like we should spend some time just hanging out but.I have to admit I don't really want too. That's what I'm beginning to think. A Journey of Many Seasons: Just can't give up!...part 2
http://journeyofmanyseasons.blogspot.com/2012/05/just-cant-give-uppart-2.html
Saturday, May 5, 2012. Just can't give up! Well, I had another trying day with Gingy. He keeps treating me like so much "white noise" and that really makes me mad. I think I'm finally bothered enough become the new center of his world. As Trevor would say, "if your horse's focus is on you all of the other distractions melt away." Now it's just matter of getting his focus centered on me! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A little bit about me. So I was up in the arena. Let's keep in touch. Yet again I h...

Fran's Savvy Up: July 2010
http://savvyup.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
My journey in pursuit of excellence as a horsewoman and instructor. Photo by Margaret Chant and edited by Jessica Metropulos. Friday, July 30, 2010. The Truck of My Dreams. Just for fun and off the topic of horses somewhat. And I hate having to ask people to transport my horses everywhere, especially on longer trips. I've been searching casually for a truck on craigslist and a couple other sites since April, and have gone so far as to call on a couple of ads, but not much has come of the search. Crew Cab...

A Journey of Many Seasons: September 2011
http://journeyofmanyseasons.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. I got Gingy out for just a short while on Friday, before we went to town. I didn't really feel like doing something very active since both of were moving rather slowly, so I settled on working through our forequarter pivots. I went straight to bridling Gingy because I thought it would be good to try doing this bare-back so I could feel better what his body was doing. Friday, September 23, 2011. Well, stay tuned for more consistent updates in the future! Knowing when to pause.

A Journey of Many Seasons: May 2011
http://journeyofmanyseasons.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Gingy and the water tank. For the next fifteen minutes while the tank was filling up Gingy and I hung out. After awhile I started searching for itchy spots on his face. I found a few and I also found that maybe the reason he hasn't showed them to me before was because I scratched them too hard. The the most amazing thing happened, Gingy started grooming me! Monday, May 30, 2011. Marsy hits the trail! Mom and I went for a trail ride on Marsy and Cherokee today and it was so fun!

A Journey of Many Seasons: April 2011
http://journeyofmanyseasons.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Well, we're finally back from vacation and I guess as is often the case it's been a bitter-sweet transition to being home again. The one really big highlight was that Gingy came home today! Next it was my turn to ride him. He definitely tested me a little bit, especially when I asked him to walk over the jump, but with some persistence he became more willing. So now I really excited about doing stuff with him everyday and becoming worthy of his best efforts. Let's keep in touch.
