And now you know. Thoughts from a mind filled with useless knowledge. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. This amusing little line showed up on my filing cabinet the other day. Made me smile. A couple of days later someone added the lovely sentiment of "inspire life at the library." But it was the changes in the second musing that made me laugh. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://librarianlola.blogspot.com/2014/09/a-life-well-lived-jan-steinmark.html
And now you know. Thoughts from a mind filled with useless knowledge. Monday, September 8, 2014. A Life Well-Lived - Jan Steinmark. I thought. Enough already, we get it, you love your car, it reminds you of the past, get over it and move on! When Jan found a project, she often turned it into a mission. She lik...

http://librarianlola.blogspot.com/2014/09/angry-birds-large-and-in-charge.html
And now you know. Thoughts from a mind filled with useless knowledge. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Angry Birds - Large and In Charge. I recently did an Angry Birds program with my Middle Matters group (kids grades 6-8) that went pretty well. We are still looking for the right time to offer programming but right now it is Fridays at 4:30 advertised as a homework break. Bad news is, it's football season so. Remove a body part. Then came the cute craft - pom pom birds and pigs. We had tattoos available an...

And now you know. Thoughts from a mind filled with useless knowledge. Thursday, August 23, 2012. So why do I have all this useless knowledge? It was a 3 word gift to me from my parents and not the ones you are probably thinking. My words were, "Look it up." I always wanted to retort, " Just tell me the dang answer! But the other day Mom and I were talking. Me: That's the fourth dead skunk I've seen today! Me: That one didn't even smell. Mom: Maybe it used up all of it's smell before it got hit. But, all ...

And now you know. Thoughts from a mind filled with useless knowledge. Thursday, August 21, 2014. Here are the things my Grandma June taught me:. Toadstools are really fairy houses. Be outside as much as possible. Shuffle your feet in the clover so you don't step on a bee. In the summer, shoes are for going out and for church. Sleep with the windows open even in winter, fresh air is good for you and you sleep better cold. Fingers in the sugar bowl are only allowed at Grandma's house. Fall was apple cider ...
