Ima Quilter: Done ala Bonnie Hunter
http://imaquilter2.blogspot.com/2009/02/done-ala-bonnie-hunter.html
And proud of it! Saturday, February 7, 2009. Done ala Bonnie Hunter. I finished this yesterday, the border is made from the trimmings of the blocks, I stitched them as leaders/enders while putting the blocks together. My first time doing something like that, thanks to Bonnie Hunter over at Quiltville, loving using up the scraps! I added a tiny yellow flange before the binding to cover the less than perfect points lol but also thought it added a nice bit of brightness to the edge. Ps like the quilt too :).

Saturday, September 13, 2008. 1 1 = 2 then. 2 2 = 4! Welcome to the first post of my crafting blog! I wanted to keep my personal blog when I address the real craziness separate from the crafting. In the future, I want to have a fun productive crafting biz and this is the first step. On this first post I want to share my first quilting blocks made for the Heartstrings Quilt Project. Only 44 more to go! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Rockland County, NY, United States.

MaryQuilts - Making Scrap Quilts From Stash: I'm a hermit
http://maryquilts.blogspot.com/2009/08/im-hermit.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. Just had to get out for a while. Dinner and coffee and the rain held. Off so I didnt get wet. My natural inclination is to be a hermit also. I force myself to go against that! Im a hermit most of the time. I dont like the traffic anymore. I plan all my trips off the hill in sequence so that I dont have to spend anymore time in town doing errands than I have to. I didnt used to be this way- -but, I just love being at home! I do hope you enjoyed the hermit time.

MaryQuilts - Making Scrap Quilts From Stash: A finish
http://maryquilts.blogspot.com/2009/08/finish.html
Friday, August 14, 2009. Amid all the computer drama yesterday and today I did manage to make a few more diamond string blocks AND I finished binding and labeling this HeartStrings quilt. I love how this turned out, the looks of the grid, the fact it's really soft and cozy, and the striped binding was just perfect. I have more work to do but my brain is tired - I think I'm going to head to bed with my book. And I LOVE the binding! This is why I love your blog! You get so much done! What a wonderful quilt!

Rags N Quilts: June 2009
http://quiltingwithragdolls.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Details of the crown. I purchased the crown pattern here. The pattern designer has a very specific written statement regarding use of her pattern that prohibits me from sharing how to make the crown here. However, the pattern contained a couple of supplies and some instructions that I found did NOT. Work well, so I substituted my own supplies which I detailed in this post. And beads from my stash to bead the edges of the crown. Monday, June 29, 2009. More fabric and a crown! Serio...

Sunday, January 18, 2009. I usually share some of the fabrics I hand dye with Mary. And Mother. When we were all together in December, my sister Ann expressed an interest in having some too. Mary let me know this morning that she has just about used all of the last batch I sent her and asked. That I send some to Mother's and that she and Mother and Ann would divey. The rest are cottons. Here are some pieces that are good for landscapes. Low on greens.need to do some more soon. But I did steal a couple...
