It's me again...: Don't get too cocky after child #1
http://heatherdayblogs.blogspot.com/2013/05/dont-get-too-cocky-after-child-1.html
Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, work, and everything in between. Thursday, May 23, 2013. Don't get too cocky after child #1. I'm averaging one blog post a year. Awesome! I had this idea a while back to write Emma a book that I can give her on her wedding day. I'd love to say that's the reason I haven't been on here, but the truth of the matter is, I've only been averaging one entry every six months on that project. First time mothers who are getting too cocky. I did really good with you.
It's me again...: December 2013
http://heatherdayblogs.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, work, and everything in between. Wednesday, December 4, 2013. A diamond, stars and seven-year-old theology. My diamond. Gone. A gaping crater left in its place. Over remaining 10 minutes of the ride, my verbal skills deteriorated rapidly. 8220;Oh my word. Oh my word. I can’t BELIEVE this. Where could it be? Oh my word. Oh. My. Word! 8221; (And so on, and so forth forth). My carpet wonderland of a home. I resigned myself to the fact that my diamond was likely lo...
It's me again...: Christmas according to Emma
http://heatherdayblogs.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-according-to-emma.html
Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, work, and everything in between. Friday, December 30, 2011. Christmas according to Emma. I know I literally JUST posted another note, but I couldn't resist sharing. It's been amusing to listen closely as Emma's been singing Christmas songs this year. Here's some of her best lyrics:. Oh Christmas Eve, Oh Christmas Eve, how lovely are your branches.". On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, three French kids.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
It's me again...: February 2010
http://heatherdayblogs.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, work, and everything in between. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Teach us to pray. Every night, Robert and I pray with Emma before she goes to sleep. Lately, Emma has taken it upon herself to lead. In prayer. She says, "Repeat after me," and then Robert and I follow faithfully along, never knowing exactly where her ramblings will take us. This is a typical prayer:. Dear Jesus" (She pauses for us to say "Dear Jesus"). Thank you for this day.". Teach us to pray.
It's me again...: Best Christmas ever and postpartum advice from Emma
http://heatherdayblogs.blogspot.com/2011/12/best-christmas-ever-and-postpartum.html
Random thoughts about motherhood, marriage, work, and everything in between. Sunday, December 25, 2011. Best Christmas ever and postpartum advice from Emma. Note* I wrote this one week ago today, but apparently fell asleep before I posted. :). I'm so glad her Christmas wish came true. On a lighter note. Well," she said, "There is a vitamin you can take that makes your tummy go away.". I asked "Where did you learn about that? On a commercial. It's for women over 40.". Life As We Know It. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Sad that the season was over, and that it was back to business as usual? Yeah, not me. I was so tired of that dang tree that I probably would have been happy to just burn it. (I don't know if that is legal though- kind of like burning the American flag? Burning a symbol of the nativity like that- wait- that's not in the nativity! What the heck is the tree for anyway? Finally, Spring means that our trip to Papua New Guinea is that much closer. I'm really ...
