Wanderings and wonderings of this Mexico missionary life. This past month has been, in a word,. But the reason I’m on the inside is because I am called to find all of those on the outside of the gate and bring them in. I am called to find those hopeless hearts and make a new contradiction the outsiders belong inside. Healing belongs to the hurting. Joy belongs to the broken. These are contradictions in the best possible way, and I hope that my next month here is just as full of them. July 24, 2013.

My summer was filled with beautiful and ugly, heart-racing and heart-breaking, crying until tears wouldn’t come anymore and laughing until tears wouldn’t stop coming a contradiction at its finest. How is that so often God works that way? The things we don’t expect him to do, He does. The places we don’t expect to see him, He is. God uses the most broken things to make the most beautiful things. And I love that about Him. September 4, 2013.
