I was inspired by a post on Wedding Bee. This morning to work on my card box, so I made a quick run to JoAnn's for some felt. Five hours, a lot of hot glue, and a quick pizza break later, I have a card holder. I used felt, hot glue, buttons, and a panel of cardboard in the top. Meet Pickle (and a sleepy Lance). He is our nine-month-old green-cheeked conure, and he is my partner in crime. This photo was taken the day he and Lance met, back in August, and it is still my favorite. Here he is checking out some mango at his grandma's house, on the day I picked him up from the breeder. I found my camera cord while cleaning our room, so now, be prepared for photos of my DIY projects, aka my all-consuming life at the moment! I did a trial run of my bouquet last night! I picked up some dogwood branches and wilty, sad-looking ranunculus at the grocery store while I was depositing my paycheck last night, and like any good DIY-er, I had floral tape, floral wire, floral pins, and wide ribbon at home.
