HRH : July 2011
http://heatherosehardt.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 20, 2011. 65279;. Let's just start by saying- I love to design things! My mind is constantly whirling with new ideas. The pictures above shows the simple beginnings of one of these whimsical schemes. For this particular dress, I wanted a design with an airy, light look. I wanted it to be fully lined and to have some of my newly learned smocking techniques on it. I also wanted a full circle skirt! However, in order to do this, I needed to have a lot of fabric! That was grand fun! It cam...
HRH : Hats Galore
http://heatherosehardt.blogspot.com/p/hats-galore_31.html
Hats, hats, and hats again! Hats a few years. Back I'm fairly new in the hat business,. But I've found them to be. Extreamly enjoyable. Recently I've begun to design. They are grand fun! This handsom lad is modeling a kahki ivy cap (a.k.a. driver's cap) at a mid-summer wedding. This is a six panneled 1970's style hat. I've made these out of crazy designs like the one above and from elegant materials such as velvets, linens, denums, and floral cottons. With dye I made from rock tripe). My first hat shown ...
HRH : Wedding Tidbits

Friday, March 9, 2012. Several folks have requested to see a post on the apparel I made for my sister's wedding. Although it doesn't look like much here, amongst the hustle and bustle of all the other time-consuming wedding preparations, it was a blessing that everything was completed in time! Pleated pink dresses with side bows to match the boys' bow ties, complimentary edging frill,. And white puff sleeve blouses. Big floral bow ties. Kindly the bride ordered the vests! I didn't have to sew those!
HRH : Historical Fashion
http://heatherosehardt.blogspot.com/p/historical-fashion.html
Historical fashion quickly became an interest of mine in 2009. In my history studies, I received an assignment to create a historically accurate Dolly Madison Costume. From there I began incorporating costume making into my history studies. Now I just do it for sheer enjoyment. Front without bustle Side with bustle. I used antique lace cut from an old torn table cloth for this. This type of lace is exactly what people in the 1700's would have hand made and used in their clothing. More to be posted soon!

Monday, May 14, 2012. With the help of a dear friend I made my first little girl's dress in 2006. I entered it in our county fair where I won "best of show" for my age division. Since that time, I've become infatuated with children's clothing! Sewing for kids is so fun! Shown bellow is the first child's dress I made. This dress and other children's clothing I've sewn and or designed are made. Of soft breathable cotton with detailed attention to comfort and ease for the playful youngsters. Simple template...

Here is a little bit about the book:. Of his pregnant wife. And here is my review:. Saturday Night Treat: Misfortune CH 1. August 15, 2015.

Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Here is a dress I made quite a few years ago. I had a desire to make a sweet little girl's dress "just because". I made it before I was designing my own patterns, and I used an old pattern my Mom bought for my sister's and I when we were babies. It must have been from the 70's or 80's. This dress looked great on both these cute models! I love these little eyelet sleeves! The dress also had handy and attractive side pleats. Use it up. Wear it out. Make with do, or do without. Of so...
