Relatively Unread: Thanksgiving Day Thanks
http://relativelyunread.blogspot.com/2011/11/thanksgiving-day-thanks.html
The blog has been neglected, and I have a lot to be thankful for, so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone :). 2011 has been a fabulous year for me- both personally and in my writing. So behold, a list of 11 amazing blessings:. My healthy, beautiful son was born to my husband and me in June. My husband was ridiculously supportive and is pretty much the best husband and father. EVER. I had an easy pregnancy- I actually liked. I learned so, so much, and I received some of the best advice on my MS.

Interview with a YA Artist. Via email (because sadly my sister is currently hundreds of miles away from me), I interviewed Annie about her sequential art, her current reading list, and her involvement in the blog community. Below you will find an example of her art, a picture she created for me inspired by my novel-in-progress, The Looking-Glass House. You can find more of Annie's work at Potluck Comics, here:. Ghosts in the Bathroom". Q1: Annie, you are a “sequential artist,” right? A6: I write little b...

http://relativelyunread.blogspot.com/2012/12/confessions-of-nano-loser.html
Confessions of a NaNo-Loser. This year, I attempted the NaNoWriMo challenge. For those of you that don’t know, National Novel Writing Month is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. That breaks down to 1,667 words per day. The concept here is quantity, not quality. Editing is for other months. So, I caved. I created a NaNo account and Nov. 1st, I started writing. The idea of having a 200-page draft (even a terrible, terrible draft complete with poorly written scenes, major plo...

Relatively Unread: Daily Meditation
http://relativelyunread.blogspot.com/2011/09/daily-meditation.html
She's putting together a meditation book for the patients- daily readings for a whole month written by the therapists. I thought I'd share what I came up with, based on a Dr. Seuss quote someone tweeted recently. 8220;Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing’s going to get better. It’s not.”. 8211;Dr. Seuss. Sometimes when depression strikes, we have a hard time caring. About loved ones. About ourselves. About life. Thought for the day. September 29, 2011 at 8:50 AM. Glad you liked it :).

Your Story Competition" at Writer's Digest. One of my professors once told me to never pass up a free contest. She started her career by winning a book contest, and now, not only has she been teaching Creative Writing for over 20 years, but she is the author of two novels, three short story collections, two chapbooks of poetry, one play, and many essays. I came across this free contest today: the Your Story Competition at Writer's Digest. Publication in the next Writer's Digest! But if I let myself reall...

Wednesday, January 5, 2011. I haven't updated in quite some time due to the holidays and recently creating a new website. My blog is now also officially moving here: My New Blog Page. My boss Ira was kind enough to help me get everything working and I learned quite a few new tricks with css in the process, so it's all good. So relieved to have everything in wordpress now as it will be super easy for me to keep my galleries updated! New work to be posted on the new blog soon! Wednesday, November 24, 2010.

heatherpasley | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. Mrs Pasley Brings You The News. I am over it. We are in the middle of a hard core renovation and the idea of negotiating dead vermin, night stalking and leg wounds might lead to bad things happening to cats and kids. I am at capacity. Capable of little more than what is currently required of me. But, I keep my promises, and I promised myself and others that I would tell Bill’s story. 8221; requests from multiple directions. I was clearly vulnerable. I sent them to Mike.
