Heather In Korea

Sunday, September 27, 2009. Taipei- Don't Go There Right After Hong Kong. I think I did Taipei incorrectly. I didn't like it that much. I saw a protester. I saw lots of dogs. I got some nice cardigans and and enjoyed a great night market. It was fun. But it was no Hong Kong. The style with the kids in Taipei was long fake eyelashes and glasses without frames so that the eyelashes would come through the glasses. I wish I got some pictures. It was strange-ee. Heather In Korea: Poor Toby

http://heatherteacher.blogspot.com/2009/07/poor-toby.html

Friday, July 24, 2009. This is Toby. He is a very emotional and highly excitable boy in his last year of Kindergarten. Toby plays air guitar, needs to be first at everything, and only really wants to use the blue crayons. He has an unhealthy obsession with puzzles and is known for his very own special brand of "Toby" fits and tantrums. He sometimes yells "Who likes Toby? And raises his hand. Then when none of the other children raise their hands, he cries and wants to know "Why no one like Toby? I am so ...

Heather In Korea: May 2009

http://heatherteacher.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 31, 2009. Heather and Elizabeth Go to Jeju. We mostly didn't want to leave our hotel though, because it was so beautiful and amazing. Here are some of the 500 photos I took there. I LOVED these things:. The view from "Our Table" where we ate most of our meals. I don't think we at inside one time the whole trip. View from our room. View from our balcony. Hotel grounds, lobby. Monday, May 18, 2009. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. It's one of my favorite things that I had no idea existed. Pineapple o...

Heather In Korea: Love Letter to Hong Kong

http://heatherteacher.blogspot.com/2009/08/love-letter-to-hong-kong.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Love Letter to Hong Kong. Sidenote: If any of my many, many readers know any bankers in Hong Kong that want to marry me, bring me there, and give me money for dresses, please. The last week in July was our summer vacation. I ad an exciting, jammed packed week. My first day of vacation, I went to a Botero exhibit, here in Korea, which was excellent. For what I've seen in Korea, it was pretty extensive and impressive. I loved it. Then, I went to HONG KONG! Okay I have about a billi...

Heather In Korea: March 2009

http://heatherteacher.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 23, 2009. Lotte World - a wicked good time. Went to Lotte World and it was Fantastic. Lotte World is the largest indoor amusement park in the world, I think. Part of the park was outdoor though and both parts were equally fun. And the people working there waved at you with both hands. This is something I am trying to implement. It's hard to do all of the time because my hands are usually full but I sure am trying. I definitely want to go back. Sunday, March 15, 2009. Last weekend, Dore and ...

Sunday, May 31, 2009. A day on the water. We went downtown with the idea of spending the hotter hours of the day in Barnes and Noble but a docked water taxi changed our plans. The water taxi (map below) stops at many different points of interest in the greater downtown area. You can ride it all day for $9 and you get coupons for free beer! These images were borrowed from the web. I didn't bring my camera. Thinking we were going to B&N. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. This is Main Street. . A day on the water.

Krunk in Korea: December 2008

http://hagwonheaven.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 9, 2008. In other news, it snowed the other night and it was so pretty. But it only lasted a few hours before it all melted. I was sad to see it go. Since then, it hasn't even been that cold outside. Well, that's the update. I had to force myself to write this so I hope you enjoy it! Thursday, December 4, 2008. So that's all I got for now. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. I experienced more foreigners (foreigners as in anyone other than Americans) willing to celebrate Thanksgiving on Saturd...

http://wwwjenyferlewis.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 6, 2010. This week was a frenzy of snow gossip. Rumors that there was going to be 4 feet of snow this weekend. could it be true? The grocery stores were unbearable but you couldn't risk getting snowed in without milk, toilet paper, Cheetos, and Oreo cookie ice cream. The rumors were true! The above video was our one attempt at a walk. It turned into a snow angel and a walk down the front path and back. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed.

Which way from here: The Holidays

http://wwwjenyferlewis.blogspot.com/2009/12/holidays.html

Monday, December 28, 2009. The holidays are such a fun time. I have always enjoyed dressing up in coats, gloves, and hats. Growing up in Florida I would dress up in my winter gear and sit around the air conditioned house. Now living in the North I can go outside in my cute coat and my warm toasty mittens. On our flight to PR we flew over snow covered cities which was. A first for both of us. Nothing says Christmas like Santa on the back of a Semi! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Krunk in Korea: November 2008

http://hagwonheaven.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 25, 2008. English Takes All Forms. Today in my kindergarten class, as I was writing on the board, the smallest kid in the class paddled me on the behind while singing the ABC's. I was so happy he was singing the ABC's, I ignored the inappropriate touching. Monday, November 24, 2008. Time to catch up. Ok, so let me give the rundown of everything that has been going on thus far:. Ok, that's the first week update! Saturday, November 22, 2008. Big Bang was amaaaaaaazing:. The plane ride was...

Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Boston Teacher Trip, Day 1: Plimoth Plantation. I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Boston for the first time this year with our district's Teaching American History cohort. How does a librarian end up on a trip for history and English teachers? First stop, Plimoth Plantation. Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go! Okay, she's like my 11th grandmother, but who's counting? In the middle of our day we were treated to an authentic pilgrim feast, ...

Why Making Matters in My Library. The maker movement has inspired many librarians to make sure that not only the informational needs of our students are met, but their creative needs are as well. I'm often asked why we are making this switch; why we are expanding our offerings, why we are dabbling in things like 3D printing and electronics that are usually the domain of shop teachers. Making wasn't something just for shop class. It was something for everyday life. My library's makerspace started with a m...
