traveling outside karma: Granted.
http://laylainreallife.blogspot.com/2014/12/granted_1.html
Monday, December 1, 2014. This year has been one of self-discovery, formed by St. Augustine's prayer: “Grant Lord that I may know myself, that I may know you.”. This year, counseling has been less of a fairy godmother and more of a doorway, leading inward. More than anything, my counselor asks (often mid-verbal processing unload), "what are you feeling right now? As I've gained a better grasp on what I think and feel (and why), I've been able to more honestly bring my real self to God. And others. Having...

traveling outside karma: My Baba.
http://laylainreallife.blogspot.com/2013/06/baba.html
Sunday, June 16, 2013. Blessings and honor to all the first time and long time papa's out there. To the dad's near and gone, but never forgotten. To all the momma's out there who were also dad's to their kids. To my own "baba", who loves us deeply, sacrificially and. In his own mischievously hilarious way! Thank you for all you've given, modeled and entrusted to us. For skipping to your own beat, standing your ground,. And finding creative ways to bless others. May you be blessed today and everyday.

traveling outside karma: Legends.
http://laylainreallife.blogspot.com/2014/12/legends.html
Tuesday, December 2, 2014. I stumbled across the new show on Amazon called " Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street. It has a nostalgic feel to it, a mixture of "Are you Afraid of the Dark? Watching the show got me thinking of the mysteries of my own childhood. One memory in particular popped into my mind. The legend of the witch on Eastern. It was a brief conversation, but long enough to ignite my imagination for the summer. Who was this lady? Was she really a witch? What was a witch? A Fly in the Soup.

Blog Schmog: March 2011
http://lifeandlaughskmm.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Thursday, March 17, 2011. Where to catch a nap. This goes out to all you busy moms (or dads I guess) out there who hit the ground running each day and don't stop until your head hits the pillow at night. Just how do we fit in a little peace and quiet? When can we get 20 minutes of shut-eye in our day? So there I sat, in a somewhat comfortable over-sized. So, the moral of the story is - m...

I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Remembering my dad today. It was two years ago that God freed him from his suffering and took him home. I wish death wasn't so hard. I wish God's plan was that entire families and their friends could all go at the same time so it wouldn't hurt so much. That's the hard part about death - missing them. Sorry love, there's no way to explain it. Sometimes I wish he...

Blog Schmog: Week One Verdict
http://lifeandlaughskmm.blogspot.com/2011/09/week-one-verdict.html
I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Sunday, September 4, 2011. The results are in: we survived our first week of home school. It's kind of like figuring out how to eat, grocery shop, or even use the bathroom when your newborn is requiring every bit of your attention with crying, nursing, or pooping. These are the moments when I stop and think, "This is a lot of work.". We have had some fun, I have to say! Adjusting to anyt...

Blog Schmog: I'm considering...
http://lifeandlaughskmm.blogspot.com/2011/07/im-considering.html
I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Thursday, July 21, 2011. To homeschool or not to homeschool.that is the question. So many benefits on both sides. Guess that's why it's so hard. I get excited about the concept of more time as a family. More time to dive into God's word and pray as a family and serve as Jesus calls us to. So, I think we might homeschool. Possibly. Maybe. It's being considered. July 24, 2011 at 12:16 PM.

Blog Schmog: Problem of the Ages
http://lifeandlaughskmm.blogspot.com/2013/07/problem-of-ages.html
I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Problem of the Ages. I'm in the middle. I've come to that conclusion, because there's no other way to describe it. I'm just in the middle and don't really know which way to go. It's my kids' fault. Well, mine really. And life's fault. There.at least I've placed blame, now I can investigate. So what do we do with ourselves? And how on earth do we vacation? Im guessi...

Blog Schmog: Reflections of 2011
http://lifeandlaughskmm.blogspot.com/2012/01/reflections-of-2011.html
I have a lot to say, and I've been searching for such an opportunity as this to let the world in on all my ponderings. Friday, January 20, 2012. Well, I just re-read my post from last January with my hopes for the year ("resolutions" you could say), and I did pretty well! Got a new cell phone. Got text messaging. Didn't get addicted. Got on facebook. Didn't go parasailing. Spent a lot of months praying about family. Got pregnant. Here's what else we've been up to this past year:. Jacob - Lost his first t...
