Photographs by DiGiacomo: July 2013

Wednesday, July 10, 2013. I've been working to finally get through my owners manual for my Canon Rebel. It's been fun to experiement with shooting manually rather than always using the automatic setting which, up until now, is basically how I've been shooting my pictures. These are some of my first efforts shooting manually. The colors of a water lily are extrodinary. I marvel at the amazing colors God has seen fit to bestow upon us for His glory and our enjoyment. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. I recently shot these at my favorite local haunt in our area where the sights, sounds and smells of Autumn are in the air! I love everything about the peonies. I love it's appearance but I especially love that God created them in such a way that in order for them to open a little ant has to come along and eat off the gummy stuff that keeps them shut. On my way home from the shoot, I saw these fantastic creatures! Labels: Beasts and All Cattle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. We went to run a few errands before it got too bad. I loved the awning whipping around like a wave. Our hurricane party began with a container of Pringles! Cozed up with a book. For all you nautical enthusiasts. The meadow above is in walking distance from where we are staying. There was a fisherman throwing these bouys ashore when we arrived into Menemsha. This guy was trying to escape from Larsen's Fish Market. Standing along the cliffs of Aquina (Gay Head). This area reminds...

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Another Visit to More Dear Friends. While I lived in Virginia I had the joy of worshiping at New Hope Presbyterian Church. Jennie, as some of you know, is a wonderful potter and made me my original dishes when we first got married, and has made me a second set since over the past 15 years many of the first set sadly broke. Take a look at Jennie's pottery. As we were walking up the stairs we heard a "street preacher" on the corner of a huge marbel slab preaching the gospel. If yo...

Photographs by DiGiacomo: The Nearness of God

Wednesday, October 9, 2013. The Nearness of God. This morning something happened that I want to record for my posterity. Things like this happen often and I can't help but wonder if I don't make note of them, that in the years to come they will be forgotten - and God calls us to remember His great works. Romans 5:3-5, "More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, b...

Friday, June 15, 2012. Vegetable Stand Brandywine Valley. This very colorful vegetable stand in the Brandywine Valley of Pennsylvania is quintessentially charming. It has a interesting name as seen in the subject line. It'sset between some winding railroad tracks and 800 acres of beautiful country side with 250 year old homes - it's a peaceful way to spend some time. http:/ siw-vegetables.blogspot.com/. Thursday, July 5, 2012. Do you know my Jesus? While recently in Arizona visiting my family, my father took a few minutes to do some story telling of days gone by. Addie, in particular, is always asking, "What did you do when you were little." I encouraged my Dad to share his story about his dear Aunt Fern. It went something like this. And would talk to anyone about Him who would listen. And then she'd come out with, 'DO YOU KNOW MY JESUS? And she'd begin sharing Jesus with the person. Subscribe to: Posts...
