Friday, 23 October 2009. This week we've been speaking one-on-one, partly so that I can see where the students are in relation to one of the aims of the English curriculum, namely that:. Pupils should be able to describe and assess their own progress. Not an easy aim to achieve, especially when modesty may prevent a student from saying how they really feel about their abilities.
