A dominant waist and thin body create a very balanced response without being "boomy". A natural choice for fingerstyle playing. 12 or 14 fret with slotted peghead. A delightfully responsive, small body parlour style guitar. The standard bluegrass powerhouse. A pleasure for rhythm playing. A slightly smaller version of the Jumbo. A bit more midrange dominance, making it great for either fingerstyle or flatpick. Selmer-style Gypsy Jazz Guitar. The style made famous by Django Reinhardt.

Michael Heiden began making instruments in the rich music environment of Vancouver, British Columbia in the 1970's. Apart from playing fiddle, mandolin, and guitar in numerous folk, bluegrass, and swing bands, he developed a reputation as a skilled repairman concentrating on restoration and setup of quality instruments. This experience combined with a genuine desire to create fine tuned, responsive and player friendly instruments has made Heiden Stringed Instruments distinctive.

Zondag 23 februari 2014. Weer lang geleden, ik ben toch niet zo'n internetdeler merk ik. Toch weer een goede aanleiding gevonden om te schrijven. Relatie met Ineke op de klippen gelopen, another one bites the dust. Het steekt me dat veel mensen dit waarschijnlijk aan hadden zien komen. Niet het feit dat, maar de redenen die ervoor gegeven worden. Altijd wordt het gegooid op leeftijdsverschil en toekomstgerichte problemen. Dat was er niet aan de hand. Wat dan wel?
