Quick—Think of Something Cool: May 2008
http://erraticaextempore.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Quick—Think of Something Cool. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. A Little Bit of This and That. A few random things on my mind today:. My house is clean. The ratties are settling in well. Regret my decision to get them. I've seen some good movies lately. I'm an On Demand fan, and I watch most of my movies that way. Recently I've seen:. They Shoot Horses, Don't They? And it finally gave context to the famous line, "Say hello to my leetle friend." ( EDIT: Okay, the "leetle friend" line is actually from. 8212;I hadn't...

Quick—Think of Something Cool: Long Time No Write
http://erraticaextempore.blogspot.com/2008/08/long-time-no-write.html
Quick—Think of Something Cool. Wednesday, August 20, 2008. Long Time No Write. It's been forever since I posted anything, but here I am again. The last month or so has been pretty crazy in some ways, and pretty uneventful in others. In other news, my rats are getting huge. So are their balls. If human males had balls equally proportional to rat males' balls, you'd see guys walking around with two basketballs in their pants. Literally. Seems uncomfortable to me. Okay, I'm a horrible person.

yes yes yinz: April 2013
http://yesyesyinz.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 29, 2013. Ines's first solid food, and more solid dance moves from Simone. Here's some action of Inés' first experience with solid foods. Sorry the video is so long- I still haven't figured out how to trim it. Our babies undergo rigorous dance training. The method is a lot like puppeteering. The hard work pays off when they take their training to heart and take ownership of their movements. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ya'll is the new yinz. View my complete profile. yes yes yinz: November 2013
http://yesyesyinz.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Happy first bubday, Inés! Alba Inés just turned one. Some buddies came by for some cake and a mini dance party (so mini that we don't have much footage of it here). She's the cat's pajamas. Amorette made this Inés-face garland. We like it so much that it's still part of our decor. She had to rely on some bigger kids to blow out the candle. And when the flame was out, she knew just what to do with her very own cake. Happy birthday, Nezzy! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

yes yes yinz: March 2011
http://yesyesyinz.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 13, 2011. Simone got a (sort of) tricycle for her first birthday. of course, we had to check out each others' single speed bikes and do a mini critical mass ride. She's really good at ringing the bell and going backwards. we still need to work on the mount, dismount, riding forward and turning. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ya'll is the new yinz. As of August 2014, we're two Salt Lakers and two Pittsburghers living in Athens, West Virginia. Y'all is the new yinz, y'all. Green on the poor scene.

Saturday, May 25, 2013. I look forward to the Children's Festival every year. The event is held just outside the Cathedral of Learning and there is an array of activities and performances for kiddos (although I enjoy them just as much as Simone). Here's some of the action:. Tripping out in the inflatable luminarium which was originally built in Nottingham. It's half the size of a football field and rises to 3 stories high. The structure is inspired by natural geometry and Islamic architecture. We were fo...

Thursday, May 26, 2011. Simone decided to take her first steps in Chile. Sunday, May 22, 2011. Barrio Brasil (but we're still in Chile). We took a stroll through Barrio Brasil yesterday. Apparently it used to be a pretty well-to-do neighborhood, but it hit hard times in the 1950s. The architecture is really cool. It's a bit gritty and bohemian, but it probably was quite snazzy back in the day. Down with the dictatorship of money! Looks like this block is getting 'Sugarhoused'.). Check out their blog.

Friday, March 22, 2013. We haven't gotten around to introducing yinz to the newest addition. Alba Inés Shaw was born on October 24, 2012. She came nearly 10 days after her "due date." She makes a good addition to our crew. Like her big sister, this one mainly goes by her middle name, Inés (pronounced ee -NEZ in English, ee-NESS in Spanish). Some of her nicknames are: Nezzy, Eenee, Cub Life, Neenee, Eenster Bunny, Easy E, and Nezmobops, and the Intern. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Simone celebrated the big ...

Friday, August 26, 2011. Weekend in America's Hat. We took a quick trip up north to visit the exotic city of Toronto, Canada. Two days were not nearly enough, but we managed to see a lot of the city. As it turns out, this trip sort of bookended our summer of visiting the extremes of the hemisphere (well, Toronto and Santiago aren't quite at the extremes, but we have to dramatize a little). Not a bad first try with chopsticks. We took a rest stop at Lake Erie somewhere in New York on the way up.

Quick—Think of Something Cool: Lack o' daisy cull.
http://erraticaextempore.blogspot.com/2009/01/lack-o-daisy-cull.html
Quick—Think of Something Cool. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Lack o' daisy cull. 1) This kind of movie makes me mad: the kind where the back of someone's head gets blown off. With no warning to the viewer at all. I mean, usually you can see it coming from a mile away and you can sort of brace yourself for it, but when it happens like all. La la la la la—BLAMMO! Was like that for me, and I just saw. And yeah, it was like that too. 3) I love Thursdays. Have a great day. January 23, 2009 at 1:54 PM. Sometimes...
