Stitch Stitch Knot: March 2009
http://stitchstitchknot.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
A catalog of my exploits into the worlds of cross-stitch, embroidery, and quilting. And crafts. Maybe sculpture. And the occasional random, uncategorized art project. And whatever else catches my interest. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. I received this Biscornu in the mail from Malinda. As part of the Tiny Treasures Exchange. It's so pretty, and has little beads on all the corners. I was totally surprised when it came in the mail; I somehow forgot that I was supposed to get one! Monday, March 30, 2009. I saw t...

Monday, February 28, 2011. February Lady Sweater in February. Be gentle. Every person you know is fighting a terrible battle.". I did actually finish the February Lady Sweater. By the end of February. here it is unblocked. This photo shows the color more accurately than the others. You can also see a little bump above the bust in this photo, but that came out in the blocking. The sweater seems to fit well over a T-shirt. Now I just need to add buttons. I have this idea to make some wooden one...Still cat...

Spiritual knitter: My first wardrobe refashion
http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2012/04/my-first-wardrobe-refashion.html
Sunday, April 15, 2012. My first wardrobe refashion. This is a LONG time UFO (UnFinished Object) that I finally finished. I don't know why I waited so long. I've been wanted to do some "wardrobe refashion" for a some time, after having read a number of blogs devoted to the practice of reworking old clothes to make them new and funky. And cardigan sweaters are one of the easiest things to refashion. I did use some cool ones: all different sizes, shapes, some with decorative etching. I got to wear this...

http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 15, 2011. February Lady Sweater in January. One is not born a woman; one becomes one.". I'm knitting my first adult sweater- and it's for me! Sometime last year I started the February Lady Sweater. Ravelry link), but then set it aside to knit gifts, work, take care of the kids, etc. But this winter I was itching to knit something nice and wooly, so I picked it up again and am making serious progress. I may finish this February Lady Sweater by February! Just did some quick research on th...

Spiritual knitter: Felt flowers
http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2012/03/felt-flowers.html
Saturday, March 24, 2012. Over Christmas break, I finally took the time to wrap a skein of red yarn around a thifted (30 cents, I think) straw wreath to make of those cool wreaths that have been all over blogland. I hung it in the kitchen, but hadn't gotten around to adorning it yet. In January I finally made some felt flowers that gave it the finished touch. This website, Fabric Bows and More. Has tons of links to tutorials, including this one. For the pink rosette. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Spiritual knitter: Knitted teacher gifts
http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2012/06/knitted-teacher-gifts.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. The good news is that our kids got into the public preschool- not our neighborhood school, but one just one neighborhood over. This means they will both go to a half-day of preschool everyday AT THE SAME TIME. It will really make it easier for both my husband and me to get work done. I decided to knit this bath mitt (Mira's Bath Mitt, free pattern here. From Give It a Purl), which I have made before. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Spiritual knitter: June 2012
http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. I don't know what came over me: Right around the same time I was working on the bath mitt teacher gifts, I cast on for Absorba. The Great BathMat, from Mason-Dixon Knitting. Maybe it's summer that makes me want to knit with cotton. Or maybe it was the cleaning I've been doing in my craft room that made me want to knit up some of the cotton I've got in my stash. I used Cotton-Ease. Doesn't it look nice against our vintage tile? Sunday, June 24, 2012. I like the bobbles on it (for ...

Spiritual knitter: Spiritual Knitter in Arizona
http://spiritualknitter.blogspot.com/2012/04/spiritual-knitter-in-arizona.html
Saturday, April 14, 2012. Spiritual Knitter in Arizona. Very belated photos from our Spring Break trip to visit my parents in Arizona in March:. Heidi and Dad at Brewers' Spring Training opener. Yes, I am knitting a sock. Every good spring/summer vacation should start with a mani-pedi (compliments of my mom). I went for green, and when the lady asked me if I wanted a flower, I asked for a shamrock and got this instead, which I thought was pretty cool! Slight language barrier, as she was Vietnamese.).
