Valerie Sherrard: September 2009
http://valeriesherrard.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 13, 2009. There's a GOLDFISH In My Shoe! Is it really a whole year since the first picture book came out? Apparently, yes. And now the second one is in bookstores. I like to believe that the story is fun, but it's the off-the-wall zaniness of the illustrations that I think will really appeal to children. They are wild and crazy and quirky enough to delight kids and adults alike. For example, when Oscar's mom tires of his endless chatter and tells him to hold his tongue .

Valerie Sherrard: October 2009

Sunday, October 4, 2009. A motherless girl, a grandmother who cannot forgive, an injured magpie and a warm prairie summer . Tumbleweed Skies takes place in Saskatchewan during the 1950s. Ellie Stewart, whose home is in Moose Jaw, finds herself having to spend the summer in the fictional town of Weybolt after her father is laid off from his regular job and is forced to take a temporary position as a travelling salesman. Valerie Sherrard: Random Acts
http://valeriesherrard.blogspot.com/2015/02/normal-0-false-false-false-en-ca-x-none.html
Tuesday, March 8, 2016. In the haze of a food-induced stupor, Zoey Dalton and her best friends Bean and Jenna make a pledge to begin performing random acts of kindness—anonymously. Their previous track record for good deeds is pretty much a flat line, so anything they do to help others is bound to be an improvement. What if the random acts of kindness are unwanted and misunderstood? That, of course, would be a different story. This story, in fact. News Updates for Random Acts! Kicked off by DeMar DeRozan!

Valerie Sherrard: June 2008

Tuesday, June 24, 2008. A Different Kind of Reluctant Reader. Yup, I admit it. I'm a lousy blogger. (Is there a support group out there? So, it's been more than a year since I've been here. In that time I've had one (that's right - one) person comment that she'd read my blog and it was all about cats. For some reason, she sounded unimpressed. I keep hearing about how I'm supposed to use this golden opportunity to promote my books. Maybe I should give it a shot. That's the problem," he sighed. "I have.

Valerie Sherrard: November 2013
http://valeriesherrard.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 5, 2013. My Twice-Written Governor General's Nominee. 8220;There are rules for what I’ve done. Crimes against friendship.”. Laren Olivier knows the rules, but her attraction to a friend’s ex-boyfriend is strong. She tells herself that if only they can keep their romance a secret, no one will get hurt. But Laren is not the only one with something to hide. I would like to acknowledge, with sincere thanks, the support of Canada Council, which made it possible for me to complete this project.

Valerie Sherrard: April 2007
http://valeriesherrard.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 12, 2007. Miss Lily Takes Over. Well, it's official. The cat stays. I guess I knew, probably from the first second I picked her up and she rubbed her face against my cheek, that this wasn't going to be a short-term "foster care" deal. She was already sizing me up, figuring out my weaknesses, measuring my resolve. No wonder her little cat smile was so serene. I took the poor thing back to Lily and gave her a stern talking-to about keeping the babies together etc. Half an hour later, sh...

Valerie Sherrard: October 2010

Thursday, October 28, 2010. Miss Wondergem's Dreadfully Dreadful Pie. Miss Wondergem's Bakery, coming quite soon! In fact, it will open tomorrow at noon! There's a brand new bakery in town and no one could be happier about it than Myrna, Verna and Bradley McGrew. As much as they love their mother, the McGrew children can't help but dread what comes out of her kitchen - and with very good reason! Her cookies and muffins and pies were so hard. That they used them for building a fort in the yard.
