A long-awaited project - Clever Title Forthcoming. Acanthusleaf Designs - eclectic jewelry and accessories. Dec 7th, 2009 02:42 pm. There were many adventures along the way, and I'll need to get some better photos - I'm having a heck of a time with the reflections and glare. But it's done! And from a slightly different angle:. I'll be bringing this for show-and-tell to Girlie Monday. I so need a drink. 2009-12-07 10:44 pm (UTC). Oh, hon, that's gorgeous. 2009-12-07 10:47 pm (UTC). Well, all that means is...

Steampunk Cookie Cutters!!! - Clever Title Forthcoming
http://acanthusleaf.livejournal.com/55757.html
Acanthusleaf Designs - eclectic jewelry and accessories. Dec 11th, 2009 11:43 am. I was inspired to run off and do something silly and irrelevant after finishing the Big Damn Coronet, so here goes. I made cookie cutters patterned after my charms:. An 8-toothed gear, A pair of goggles, A ray gun, and of course a cartoon airship. I then had to try them out to be sure they work, you know:. So I've eaten a ray gun and a pair of goggles, and they're tasty. ;-). Anyway, there's my silliness for the day!

Work stuff. Don't read if you are squeemish. Jul 2nd, 2013 at 11:06 AM. Once we are up top I start to shake. I made it out of that steel, scream filled coffin. I can still walk and I will be able to see my wife and son again. Blood and water drip out of my uniform, some of it is mine, I don’t even remember getting cut. Someone said I was a hero to be down there. I wanted to spit in his face. 7 comments Leave a comment. Jul 2nd, 2013 06:22 pm (UTC). Well done my friend. Jul 2nd, 2013 07:09 pm (UTC). Gentl...

Don't call me a hero - despair_bear
http://despair-bear.livejournal.com/16188.html
Don't call me a hero. Nov 14th, 2013 at 10:45 AM. I found this while cleaning up some of my collected writings. Things have gotten better since this, I am not nearly in the darkness I was in at work now. But the point is still valid, we don't feel like heroes. Don’t Call Me a Hero. I have been called a hero more times than I can remember, sometimes by people I have saved, sometimes by their families, and sometimes by people who have watched me work. And I hate it. Where am I going with this?

Jul 9th, 2013 at 8:28 AM. Thank you all for putting up with my work rants. Some times I feel sorry for my adrenal glands, they really take a beating most weeks. grin. So on behalf of the over worked, underpaid, people who can bring you back from the dead but are still referred to as "ambulance drivers", thank you for your understanding and your support. 4 comments Leave a comment. PTSD much? - despair_bear

Jul 6th, 2015 at 10:21 AM. In some ways things are getting better, but still not back to normal. Sleep is worse than ever, still an occasional breakdown, and I find myself being overcome with anger for no reason. Yeah This is worth my crappy paycheck. How could I leave that? Well actually, looking at my words. Pretty damn easy. What the hell is wrong with me that that could even sound like a good place to be? What kind of sick fuck even thinks about their job like that? 1 comment Leave a comment.

Writeup in Wired - Strummings. Life is a series of astonishing coincidences. 07:03 pm May 20th, 2010. So a week ago a writer for Wired.com contacted me about the fireflies, having found them through the Maker Faire. I exchanged a few emails with some details, and, well:. This is more than I'd ever hoped for! Good thing our website is now live. As of last night, that is. Nothing like the last minute to give you heart failure.). Or Leave a comment.
