Musings about Coyotes, The Dust Bowl and Writing. Friday, May 31, 2013. The Source of the American Dream. My Grandparents, LaPenne and Clare. Over the next few weeks I will discuss the American Dream. Does it exist? What does it mean? Has it changed over time? Is it threatened more by poverty or prosperity? Or terrorism and globalization? Does it exalt individualism over the community? Are their different versions of the dream? Why is it called the American Dream and not the Scottish or Turkish dream?

Press & Events. Stay out of court and at your desk. Coyote Winds tells of the times leading up to the Dust Bowl, a time of optimism and confidence, a time when a man was measured by what he produced, not what he could buy. It explores the American can-do spirit that drew people to this wind-swept frontier and the consequences of that spirit, both good and bad, And it asks whether that spirit survives today. Something on My Own. Right Brain or Left Brain. 1 What’s the Difference Between the Right Brain and Left Brain? You may have heard people describe themselves as strictly “right-brained” or “left-brained,”. With the left-brainers bragging about their math skills and the right-brainers touting their creativity. That’s because the brain is divided down the middle into two hemispheres, with each half performing a fairly distinct set of operations. In general, the left hemisphere is dominant in language: proc...

Friday, October 30, 2009. I have to laugh at people that are afraid to even come to Bridgeport. I found these fearless ducks swimming in a puddle of rainwater in the parking lot of the local library.
