The Ertl Family: March 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
March 29, 2014. Time to Embrace Spring! Joshua is still in Needles working on his private pilot's license. Tomorrow he will do his first solo flight. Think good thoughts for him! We are so proud of his determination, hard work, patience, and dedication to his dreams. He's been there for two weeks now and despite the steady bout of strong winds, he's been up in the air daily and getting the hang of the whole flying thing. First Few Days of Spring. Can we go in the sprinkler? A Fun Rainy Weekend Indoors.

The Ertl Family: April 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
April 14, 2014. Yes After a whirlwind 4 weeks, my love's dream of becoming a pilot came to fruition this evening. We are all amazingly proud, excited and happy for him. The first book he wrote (ahem, and the last for now) was a four-page construction-paper-creation detailing Navy jets, and he's been near-obsessed with anything flight-related certainly since then. It's the source of many a joke between us. Me - scared beyond death of heights. Posted by The Ertl Family. April 10, 2014. Well, spring has sur...

The Ertl Family: Quail Gardens
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014/12/quail-gardens.html
December 02, 2014. Truly a beautiful and magical place, and absolutely wonderful for the kids too. The Quail Gardens reminds me of the San Diego Zoo without the animals, which is to say, it's a world class botanical feast for the eyes. Cheers! A fun trip with Oma and Opa. The Ertl Family: MOVING DAY - The Perch - December 26, 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014/12/moving-day-perch-december-26-2014.html
December 16, 2014. MOVING DAY - The Perch - December 26, 2014. Turns out we got the keys on Christmas Eve. Ha! We were hoping for "sometime before Christmas," and we got it. Though to be honest, we were hoping a few days before Christmas in truth. Amidst boxes and hidden presents and sleepovers we decided it wasn't such a grand time to move with kids. So we picked up the keys to our new home, The Perch on Christmas Eve and took up our first load of boxes with the kids to watch the sunset. It almost felt ...

The Ertl Family: June 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
June 29, 2014. We were super lucky to have grandparents stop in for a visit last month. It's always such a treat for us to share this magical place with others. And we managed lots of restful time in between a bit of exploring. Although our plan was to make it down to Sinkyone, we ended up venturing closer by to the Redwoods Monastery, and that was equally enjoyable. Nice walks, kid-time and time to catch up. Speaking of which, I think I might just share a load of pictures and do just that. :).

The Ertl Family: December 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
December 29, 2014. Baby Clara Arrives Hours Before the New Year! The snow lay melting on the ground. The valley glistened with the light of crystal ice. The house lay warm and cluttered with boxes. And then the phone rang. Auntie Angie was feeling like this was the day. Perhaps. Maybe. Likely. And I'm driving and attempting to stay calm and focused and I'm filled with such happiness I feel like I could explode. Baby Clara's here! Cheers to anyone who still reads this blog! The Ertl Family: May 2014
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
May 11, 2014. As the air heats and cools and repeats this cycle coming out of the freeze of winter here, we've had days like this. Kids running around out back begging to be sprayed down because they're "dying of heat! Followed by days of gloomy clouds and drizzle, Cozying up to crackling fires and snuggling under blankets that were seemingly just tucked away for next year a moment ago. Delicious home cooked Papa meals, chocolate cake, flowers, weaving! Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful, strong, an...

The Ertl Family: Living in San Diego
http://babyertl.blogspot.com/2014/12/living-in-san-diego.html
December 01, 2014. Living in San Diego. We enjoyed our "weekend" time with Joshua as he came to San Diego to visit and lived it up during the week with a crazy mix of homeschooling/living that left us all tired out each day. Here are some photos from our San Diego stay mostly for our own memories in our photo blog books. I was lame about bringing my camera with except on our weekends, so here are some weekend highlights. First boogie boarding attempts. Always in love with rolling down grassy hills. Home ...
