It's me, Hannah. Sunday, October 11, 2009. Animals Vol. 2 - Land. Anyway, it was amazing - I was beaming for hours, because this place was just absolutely totally packed with horses. It was a big market, so all the horses were for sale and hanging out all day. Wee little miniature ones, and massive plow pullers, and elegant fancy cart horses, plus donkeys, some sheep, and lots of boxes of puppies! It's me, Hannah. Sunday, August 30, 2009. Are things that I dislike, and very much love about Ireland so far. Crossing the street is hard(er than usual), but I'm on my 6th cuppa tea as the hotel has a nice little water boiler, as opposed to mini coffee maker, and lots of tea bags. Also, several pouches of instant coffee and unrefrigerated milks with expiration dates ranging from plus or minus a year from today. Here's a picture of the Bewleys Hotel, where we'll be until Wednesday. Thanks, g'day!

Two friendly donkeys, I fed them some apple and we totally became friends. . A small cathedral near Kylemore Abbey. Super creepy diorama inside 'The Quiet Man' movie replica cottage. . Tuesday, December 22, 2009. So while many of you have been enduring snow for many weeks now, our arrival in Amsterdam marked our first snow encounter of the year. Apparently snow is relatively rare here, as all of their transportation infrastructure more or less shut down from about 1.5" of the fluffy stuff. Regardless of this, the city looks quite nice. Our two-legged journey consisted of a visit to the village of Kwakombo where Zahra's Mom (De-Bora, as they call her) lived and worked for two years while performing research for her doctorate, the primary reason for our trip, as well as a night stay in the sort of nearby coastal city of Tanga.
