Sorry for my poor spelling. This is a better version by Dan :). This is the story of Helmer. A linux cluster in a IKEA Helmer cabinet. Computer equipment costs almost nothing these days, it just a matter of finding fun stuff to play with. I wanted to use Intel Quad core 65 nm or better. I surfed the web and found 6 of them at a competitive price. I then looked for the cheapest motherboard that could run these processors, and came across the Gigabyte S-series GA-G33M-DS2R/S2 card. And my cat approves.

This is my take on running multiple computers in a single IKEA Helmer drawer unit. It has been done by several before me: render cluster. A difference from the various versions I have seen is that I use a single PSU to drive several small Mini-ITX boards (with plenty of power to spare). Also I have no intention to run the computers clustered but as several separate servers on different physical networks to fulfill my home network needs. Is part of pihack.no-ip.org.

Since all I had to start with was a list of employee names, I decided to store all my employee names and search locations in a CSV file.
