http://vernacularrepublic.blogspot.com/2010/06/so-much.html
Citizen of the Vernacular Republic. Colourful ramblings from an Aussie missus. Sunday, June 27, 2010. We've had a lot happening lately. And yesterday we decided that to 'get away' from it all, we'd book a trip and go to the snow. Couldnt find any accommodation left (its going to be school holidays) so instead, we are going to New Zealand. So in 2 weeks time.it looks like we're getting on a plane and getting outta here for a while. Noice! Hospital. Blegh. I was in hospital for 5 days last week....We go...

The Day the Fence Fell – invited by grace
https://invitedbygrace.com/2015/01/21/the-day-the-fence-fell
Faith, family, wellness. The Day the Fence Fell. January 21, 2015. May 9, 2016. Now that I think about it, it was really only this fence, this divider between our homes, that connected us. You see, my neighbor and I seemed to have nothing in common except for a fence. The truth is that I never knew her. I would never know her because the year we moved in, was the year she fell in her living room and needed to move into a care facility. All we ever knew of her was what the neighbors would whisper. But tho...

Faith, family, wellness. When God Whispers Go. March 29, 2015. May 9, 2016. Changes are on the horizon for our little family. We will be moving to Texas! This was not an easy decision. In fact, it was one of those decisions you make and you immediately feel like crying afterwards. Life is going pretty well here in California. Our kids are settled, we’re settled, and we have close friends and family that we would greatly miss if we ever had to move. All we could do was pray and wait. So in just a few mont...

Least Expectations: October 2011
http://leastexpectations.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 21, 2011. Forces to Reckon With. I love to design stuff. I love to try to figure out how to make an idea work better. So, I got done with a design that took about two day's time to work out, and as a precaution, I reversed the load and the fixture - applied the force and the holding fixture 180 degrees opposite. But it totally failed. In a moment of hightened tension (perhaps I need to get out more) I hit print and took the image to my boss. He said, "what do you think is wrong? It does n...

Least Expectations: 'Nemonies
http://leastexpectations.blogspot.com/2012/06/nemonies.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. Having run out of anything newer, I started going backward through old stuff. I found some pics from our San Diego trip that I had not edited. I guess I have actually learned some things in the last year or too after all. Pics that I had given up on have taken on a certain measure of "likability" - at least for me. These were from Laguna Beach, where we got to tour the tide pools and look at the 'Nenomies. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Just a Simple Guy. Our Happily Ever After.
