Why all the different door constructions? A door is not just a door! Surprisingly enough, actually a lot of detail goes into determining what construction a door will be. It may be a feature door, and external door, internal door, it may need to hold in the heat or have some sound proof qualities. Control of this radiant heat requires the back filling of frames to increase the frame mass which in turn extends the time taken for the frame to heat up.
