Thursday, January 22, 2009. A Small Bump in the Road. Daisy is having a reaction to one of her internal sutures. She went to the vet today and was given a steroid injection and an oral antibiotic. If it doesn't clear up she will need to have it removed. If that's the case, we'll just let the surgeon do that when he does the surgery on her left arm in a little over a week. Other than that she is doing great! Only 11 more days! Marcie (Daisy's foster mom). I hope she gets better I will be snuggling for her!

Friday, June 5, 2009. Miss Daisy went for a check up yesterday and the doctor said she is doing great! They removed the cast she has been in since her surgery. Her foster dad said that she is hesitant to use her left leg now that the cast is off. But, that was expected. We're sure that over the next few weeks she will begin to use her leg more and more. Thank you all for keeping up with Daisy's story and sending lots of thoughts and prayers. Daisy sends her love to each of you! Marcie (Daisy's foster mom).

Wednesday, February 4, 2009. No Surgery for Daisy. At least not for at least six to eight weeks. Daisy went back to Knoxville for x-rays and her second surgery on Monday. After driving two hours in the snow and poor Daisy vomiting all over herself from being carsick, we were told we have to wait a minimum of six to eight additional weeks for surgery on her left leg. As of now the plan is to have more x-rays in six weeks. If those look good, we will schedule the surgery for the end of March. Oh, we're sor...
