Carnegie Institution for Science. If you take a journey of 4.9 billion miles, lasting nearly 7 years, you’ve probably got some good stories to tell. The Carnegie Institution for Science and NASA thought so and hired C C to create an interactive touch-panel/video exhibit to describe their MESSENGER spacecraft, scheduled to orbit Mercury by 2011. As detailed in this report, the food crisis of 2007–2008 saw sudden swings in the price and availability of grains and other foodstuffs throughout the developing world. We illustrated these sharp displacements in a cover graph made entirely of different strains of rice. Our imaginative and eye-catching design was carried though both the summary and full report, as well as a companion ePub.
