Quick Facts about ALS. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS. Every 90 minutes someone loses their battle with ALS. ALS can strike anyone at anytime; it serves no racial, ethnic or socioeconomic boundaries. The average life expectancy for a person with ALS is 2-5 years. There is no cause or cure for ALS.
