60th Birthday - Barb's Journal
http://harpnfiddle.livejournal.com/183239.html
Dec 24th, 2012 at 12:37 PM. I had a great time for my 60th birthday. And Kristen came over to the house and visited for a bit before going out to dinner. We met up with. And Allie, Judith, Kirk, Kathy and David, and my mother at the Steaming Tender in Palmer at 5pm. We stayed about 3 hours. I opened gifts before we ate and what a fantastic amount of gifts. I was overwhelmed! Gift cards for BJ's, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. A silver necklace depicting blueberries. 2 comments Leave a comment.

It’s been busy at work. I stand at my desk, not having… - swanduchess

Dec 10th, 2008. It’s been busy at work. I stand at my desk, not having time to sit, merging exit and entrance phrases all in one breath, “Thank you for coming, have a nice week, hi, how may I help you…”. The Zombies don’t seem to mind. They are in just as much a hurry as I am to get pumped through the process and lurch out the door. Tis the season, after all. The fast pace keeps me from thinking too much on any particular situation. But this, of course, is. Hellip; Or maybe just roll my eyes…. I study he...

Mirabel and the Djinn - a Fairy Tale - Josh's Crosstime Salute
http://joshwriting.livejournal.com/209562.html
Thu, Feb. 26th, 2009, 09:54 pm. Mirabel and the Djinn - a Fairy Tale. So it was that she was very startled one night when an elegant young woman appeared abruptly in her room, just after she had sent her wishes to get away off to the moon, or wherever unanswered wishes might go. As soon as she said it, she mentally kicked herself. She did that a lot. "Oh, don't tell me, you're my fairy godmother." And she sighed. Oh Hmm. Why did you wait so long to appear, then? Even if I wish to get free of my familial ...

Russian Man Spends 6 Months Living In the 10th Century (52 Pics). Most of us like reading stories about ancient times and fantasize that our ancestors’ lives were easy and romantic, but were they really? 24-year-old Russian man Pavel Sapozhnikov decided to see what his ancestors’ lives were really like by spending 6 months living in 10th-century conditions. Hunter Moon aka Malfoy-the-cat, August 6, 2000-September 9, 2013. September 9th, 2013 (09:22 pm). I adopted him thirteen years ago, when my marriage had just broken up. Barbara Gardner found him for me and said "he needs a home, you need something to make you laugh." And he did, through that lonely winter, and then through the rough times that happened. He slept beside me, purred when I petted him, and was as good a friend as anyone could wish. Posted by: McKay (. I'm very sorry for your loss. :(. Posted...

The last two weeks, or, The Back Spasm That Wasn't - The Black Phoenix Inn
http://ellid.livejournal.com/850338.html
The last two weeks, or, The Back Spasm That Wasn't. July 2nd, 2013 (11:01 am). It's been a very interesting couple of weeks, to say the least. It passed, I felt fine, and like an ass I figured it was just a muscle spasm and went on my merry way. I slept most of Sunday. Monday I went to work, still a bit achy and tired, and was fine.until I went to the bathroom and saw that my eyes had turned yellow. I griped, but didn't argue. This is why I'm sitting here writing this, not in the ICU or possibly dead.

Hey, I was around 1-1/2 to 2 years ago, then life happened in a big way, and I'm afraid I dropped out of the nascent Western Mass Steampunk scene. Are you still in the area? Anyway, hope you're well!

Stola Tutorial - Rufinia's Brag Book
http://redsbragbook.livejournal.com/8849.html
200807.15 @ 10:49. Look what I made! On 2008.07.15 at 10:49. This is how I make a V-neck stola, with the two different methods I use for pleating the shoulders. I will try to explain how I make a boat-neck stola, but I have no pictures of that. This fabric is 45 inches wide, so we've used two widths of it for the full body of the stola. Two lengths that are 2x long (where x = your shoulder to floor measurement). Sew together along the edges, leaving a neck hole in the middle. Laid out with the pins.

Living A Vintage Life: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
http://livingthelongweekend.blogspot.com/2008/03/reduce-reuse-recycle.html
Living A Vintage Life. 30 March, 2008. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. In a way, the people who survived the Great Depression and WWII were better prepared to "do without" than we are today. Our Western world is a world of abundance. We are never hurting for clothing, furnishings, cleaning items, power sources because we can trot down to the local big W and buy it all cheaply. The problem is that we buy these things. over and over again. And what do we do with the old ones? But what about our old clothing? One d...

Dead Pretty Things - A Flutter of Butterfly Wings
http://baavgai.livejournal.com/133951.html
July 27th, 2012. 05:43 am - Dead Pretty Things. Last Sunday, as I began my morning walk, I interrupted a pair of bunnies in the driveway. They weren't munching on fallen apples from the tree or standing stock still hoping I wouldn't notice their furry presence in my path. No, these bunnies seemed to be doing what bunnies do best. Or, at least, trying to. It's not like I never saw dead things on my walks. I thought about the dead until I came to a butterfly. It was splayed on the pavement and didn...I wai...
