Thursday, March 22, 2012. I is a 1500 acre forest preserve. It is home to the worlds oldest tree species - the giant conifer - Araucaria. John and Michelle took the day off to relax while Axel, Chris, Henry and I decided to torture our sore muscles one last time on yet another seven hour hike. And as it always seems to turn out - so worth it. Just knew it was going to be a good day. We hardly saw anyone on the trail as we hiked. First through the primary forest filled with the coihue and lenga trees.

Thursday, March 22, 2012. About a week after our Christmas vacation we moved out of. And into Vitacura with some very good chilean friends of ours. We’re in a neighborhood on the north east side of Santiago now which puts us a little closer to the Andes. We wake up to a beautiful view and this furry feline. His name is Pelayo and he is awesome. Monday, August 22, 2011. I love that he makes me breakfast in bed. I love that he is always thinking. I love that he inspires me. I love that we are on this adventure together. I love that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. I love that he is my husband. Sunday, August 7, 2011. Last weekend Henry and I made a picnic lunch and headed to downtown Santiago. Our destination: Cerro Santa Luc í. Located in the middle of downtown it offers a slight escape for visitors from the busy streets.

Thursday, June 30, 2011. Here in Santiago there is a specific street for everything. If you want a bicycle you go to Calle San Diego, if you want fabric you go to Calle Rosas and if you want vintage furniture - you come here to Avenida Italia. Being only a few blocks from our flat I love wandering up here on Saturdays to browse the treasures. And I'm always so tempted!
